Note

Kichri is a traditional Ayurvedic dietary dish and one of the main dishes of Indian cuisine, based on rice and mung dal. It belongs to the category of cleansing food. This is an ideally balanced dish from the point of view of modern dietetics and Ayurveda. It contains the optimal composition of proteins, fats and carbohydrates, fiber, many beneficial trace elements, balances all three doshas, and is very nutritious. And most importantly, it is very tasty, nutritious and easy to digest, despite the fact that it contains both rice and legumes.

Kapet
I do not know what these Indians have, but the Uzbeks call it Mashkichiri (porridge made from mung bean and rice). Delicious, especially if cooked with meat, almost like pilaf!

Kapet, Uzbek mashkichri is prepared differently, like pilaf. And yet, yes, it also turns out very tasty.
Svetlenki
Delicious! I will repeat more than once, the variations are endless. You can play with both legumes and vegetables for an aromatic oil filling. Thank you very much!

tatyana1, Tatyana, do not consider it arrogant, but not ginger, and asafoetida is responsible for this

Svetlenki, Sveta, I'm glad that the recipe was to your taste! The variations are truly endless. For medicinal purposes, it is generally eaten without vegetable sabji.
