Specialty meatballs from three types of meat

minced meat (beef, pork, poultry) 700 g
rice (pearl barley) 1/3 st
onion 1 PC
carrots (small) 1 PC
garlic 2 tooth
celery 1 PC
egg 1 PC
tomato paste 2-3 st. l.
salt pepper taste
Bay leaf 2 pcs
allspice peas 3 pcs
greens taste
vegetable oil 1 tsp

Cooking method

  • For minced meat, we take three types of meat. Basically, this is lean beef 50%, fatty pork 30% and poultry 20% (good if it is homemade chicken). We pass the meat through a meat grinder.
  • Boil rice or barley until half cooked and let cool. In general, rice can be simply soaked in water.
  • Chop the onion and garlic. Grate the carrots on a fine grater. Celery, if desired, either chop finely or grate.
  • Combine all prepared foods, stir. Add an egg to them, salt and pepper to taste. Mix.
  • Form meatballs from the minced meat.
  • Put some vegetable oil in a deep frying pan or saucepan, add tomato paste and fry slightly. Cover with water, add salt, bay leaf, allspice and let it boil. Put meatballs in boiling sauce, cook covered for 30-40 minutes. Serve with chopped herbs.

Cooking program:

Any minced meat dishes were always prepared from three types of meat, other minced meat was simply not recognized. And how do you admit, when all the meat was homemade, everything from it was delicious. Moving to the city of course changed everything, so what was from that and was prepared. But when the opportunity fell, they tried to turn the minced meat from three types of meat. We love meatballs with all our hearts and cook them very often. In general, I have the feeling that in my childhood I simply didn’t finish them, because my mother hardly cooked them, they fell apart all the time. But I did it the first time, and what kind!

Ooooh, I'm the first for meatballs, I love those, mmmmm)!
