NatashaTHANKS for an interesting and rewarding experience! I add a topic to the catalog of the "Ingredients for Bread" section

In fact, this is wheat malt, the principle of its preparation is the same - just not roasted. Often asked on the forum, what is "white malt"? This wheat flour can be classified as white malt.

I'll add a link to malt here, so that the info in the pile is

Making malt at home (Rusya)

Wheat germ flour

It is already fermented red malt. Now there is a lot to choose and which malt is "white" or "red"

Natasha, GOOD MAN! Thanks for the work you've done!

Tatyana, Thank you!

I saw this Temka, all the same, malt is fermented, but here it is not, well, you can't bake bread from malt
Admin
Yes, I agree, there will be no bread from malt. But even sprouted flour should be handled very carefully and added to the dough. Since these are sprouted grains of wheat, and they tend to "soften" the dough, it may become not elastic, the gluten is no longer the same. Why sometimes people complain about bread that does not hold its shape and spreads out - it is bread made from sprouted grain.

Observe this object, when you are engaged in bread, and you will tell us about your experiments. It will be very interesting to know how such flour will behave

I didn't cook that much, 500g ... the coffee grinder didn't like it, it's very good. I was basking in the area of the engine, I already baked 2 breads with a significant proportion of this flour, and added them to others as an additive.

I am reporting. Soaked, germinated, sent to the dryer. The process has begun. Soaked the second batch of wheat in the germinator. Then I want to germinate the barley.
NataliARH
Lena, what will you grind on? in a fruit dryer or dehydrator? the time will be different, well, there you will understand how it will dry

barley, oats, rye (on the site there is in the same section), etc., only the germination time is different

Natasha, I dried it in the Isidri dryer, ground it on a coffee grinder. But I have it with a millstone, so I coped with a plus. I put the grind on the finest, and after sifting, the grains turned out quite a bit. Now I will put the second batch of sprouted wheat to dry. And I'll put barley on germination. I bought myself a germinator, there is certainly a small portion, but I like it so much, very convenient.

Elena, good coffee grinder! do not forget to tell us about the use of wheat and barley flour, me and Tatiana (Admin) are very interested!
