The iron is broken. We urgently need a new one, but which one? Do you need 2000W power? Which company is more reliable? What else to look for when choosing?
Hostess girls! Well brag about your irons! Or scold their shortcomings, if what is wrong with them ...

I have TEFAL, they bought 6 years ago, power 1280-1525, model 1520, SUPERGLISS coating, steam 30, without any bells and whistles, steam power is regulated.

I'm happy with the iron, there is enough steam, the coating (mmm) is safe and sound, I have enough for household needs. I use dist. water, although the instructions say tap. I don't often clean the steam holes after the distillate. Was not renovated (mmm).

I have 3 years Philips Azur Steam iron GC4610. Dvolna. Only our water is very hard over time, it calcifies and the sprinkler becomes clogged. But it has a steam self-cleaning function. So it can be solved. Long cord (on such a hinge) which is also important for me personally. And non-stick outsole. Good for ironing natural cotton and linen fabrics thanks to the steam boost.
Which iron should you choose?

It is very good if the iron comes with a nozzle called TEXTILPROTECTOR. This is a removable sole that does not heat up to high temperatures and allows you to iron delicate fabrics with steam. I had a Brown iron, and I liked it.
izumka
kava, lga! Thanks for the advice! kava, tell me more about vertical steaming and an additional nozzle, do you use these functions and how convenient and useful are they? And how heavy is this iron, does your hand get tired while working? I liked him very much

iron attachment for all Phillips, bought separately. (about 500 rubles) Checked, great thing, I don't take off the iron at all.
Which iron should you choose?
I have such an iron.
TOPPERR IR3 set
- suitable for almost all brands of irons;
- protects delicate fabrics from lass and various
stains, as well as from burning when ironing;
- safe for embroidery and appliqué;
- protects the soleplate from scratches and
pollution;
- provides excellent sliding of the iron on
tissues;
- ideal for steam irons.
izumka
puel , thanks for the information, I have not seen such attachments anywhere separately (maybe I just didn't look for it?). Now I will take a closer look.

I also had such a nozzle for the iron. It is silicone soft on a spring, it is really suitable for any irons (because of the spring), but it quickly failed for me, a piece of silicone with a spring broke out. I liked the metal more, but it is not universal - it should exactly repeat the shape of the sole, so it comes immediately in the kit.
puel
izumka, look in Eldorado, feel it, I took it there. The nozzle looks more like plastic than silicone. Metal nozzles are included with browns, not all, but there the price of an iron is twice as much. I liked the sapphire sole of the brown, no metal zippers and rivets could scratch it, but I didn’t like the short cord and the anticalcium rod from the scale practically didn’t help, I used only filtered water. Yes, I advise everyone who has hard water flowing in the tap in the irons only to fill in filtered water.
sensitive
good bosch irons! I recently bought myself a new philips 3321 iron, while I am satisfied with it, it heats up quickly, glides perfectly, the fabric does not pull behind it, it steams! the only thing is vertical I haven't tried steaming yet. There are many functions in general. pleases self-cleaning (with our something water!) and the function of self-shutdown and the length of the cord is 3 meters !! before that there was always not enough length on the irons, I had to put a board right at the outlet!
Which iron should you choose?

what I don't recommend is the cheap irons.Do not save too much, they all burn out sooner or later, and often end up ruining things.
Sonadora
I have such an iron, already 7 years old, did not cause any complaints.
Tefal 2730 Virtuose Auto-stop
Which iron should you choose?

The good news is that there is a time relay, even if you forget to turn it off, it will turn off itself after 15 minutes, and in the horizontal position (turned on), if you do not move it for 20 seconds, it also goes into standby mode.

Yes, we are talking about the same attachments. I apologize, I confused this, the nozzle is not made of silicone, but of Teflon. Here is a picture:

Sonadora , the iron is really good according to the description, but this model seems to have been discontinued.
sensitive, I completely agree about the cheap iron, I'm tired of changing them, so I want a good one.
kava
izumka, I don’t have a soles, and in truth I don’t seem to need it. I iron often, especially in the summer, because I love natural fabrics - it seems that nothing burns, does not stick (there the sole itself is like Teflon-coated).
I use vertical steaming mainly when the curtains need to be steamed. But I think that if the main function of interest is vertical steaming, then it is necessary to take an iron with this dominant function. It is certainly possible to "iron" something, but of course you will not achieve perfect smoothing as on a horizontal hard surface.
izumka
kava, thanks for the detailed explanation, my husband said that he would give such a Philips to NG (but I think it will be earlier)
kava
Well, izumka, I think it will be a nice and necessary gift! In such cases, a thoughtful, albeit known in advance, gift option is better than an unnecessary surprise.
Rimma71
I also had one like Sonadora, for almost 9 years! Very good, then it dripped and the steam boost button fell out. For the new year I gave myself this: Tefal FV 9447
I really respect Tefalev sole! So far I like it very much! There is also a nozzle for delicate fabrics, steam boost, vertical steaming, auto shut-off.

I don't have an iron ... I had a Sovdepovsky iron for 12 rubles, a steam one, heavy ... I steamed everything ... everything was super ... but the irons probably don't live so much ... and when I saw it in the store .. I don’t know what is the correct name Is it a steam station or ... a vertical steamer .. bought a similar steamer in the Chinese market ... the Chinese market is probably in every city ... if you take the one that is more powerful .. on the back panel there are 2 buttons of 250 watts and 1450 watts, you can use that , and another ... and it's up to you ... which iron to take

Hello, advise an iron from the ROVENTA or PHILIPS line, or maybe some other, since my old one ordered to live a long time, it was Chinese back in the 90s. years bought.
devl78
Tefal ultragliss 50. One of the shortcomings is a small hole for water (however, most irons suffer from this)
juicy
Eh ... it's a pity that everyone abandoned this Temko .. ah. I was so hoping to find advice on irons here .... otherwise, my Phillips, uh ... I will not express myself, in short, we need another good iron !!! Maybe someone will advise what ... please !!! I think maybe Tefal?
AlenaT
juicy, my friend has had Tefal Ultragliss 50 for many years.
He served faithfully, after the third dropping he ordered to live a long time)))
In general, any technique is a lottery ...
I personally have a simple tefal with steaming, spraying, I don't even have self-cleaning ...
And, too, about 5 years old, he already works, a hard worker ...
This is despite the fact that ironing is just constant for me.
Although the vertical steaming function would not hurt me either)))

juicy , but in general it seems to me that the technique should be chosen first of all on the basis of the availability of service in your city.
It will be a shame if you buy a good thing, but there is no maintenance for it (((
I have a familiar gas burner valve from the stove Combustion has been waiting for 9 (!!!!!) months ((((
Good luck with your choice!)))

I have a Rowenta DZ 9130 iron. He is three years old. Very happy. It is heavy compared to the previous one, I like it. No need to press, drive in the same place 10 times. There is a descaling function, vertical steaming.
And yet - automatic shutdown. There will definitely be no worries about an iron that was inadvertently left on.
juicy
I need help choosing from these models ... which one is better: Tefal FV5378, Tefal FV9550E2, Tefal FV9547E2 !!!
Giraffe
Anh, well, it's not so interesting, we agreed to choose as an e-book, but here there are only three models to choose from. At least I looked and remembered what kind of iron I had-Rowenta focus, then I will look at the letters, I did not find it on the iron itself. Also three years already.

Girls ... well, everyone left me ((((I am now again in complete confusion ..... 2 representatives of different online stores, they said that the irons are now high-quality Philips ... now everything must be started with scratch ...... please help me choose an iron !!!!!!!!

I have both Phillips and Tefal ... both were bought the most expensive for their time, which means they should justify themselves in terms of quality))) both are in excellent working condition, but Phillips is really better quality - the outsole, like new, is easy to clean ... but at the Tefalevsky it seems to me that the sole is slightly erased, although it is a little over a year old, and the Phillips is more than 5 years old !!!! for myself, I have already decided - for the future, iron - only Phillips !!! I also know that Roventa is good))) I would also consider it)))
juicy
irism, and my situation is exactly the opposite, Tefal works perfectly for 5 years, and Phillips after 0.5 years began to spit rust and his entire sole is dirty ((((... I am completely confused (((

yeah: (then you have to put your finger in the sky or intuitively - whatever you liked the first, then take it))) I took the Phillips without reading any reviews on the internet - I just liked it at first sight))) but about the tefal read a lot ... and there were a lot of bad reviews. but then I decided that I wanted a new brand ... in fact, I do not regret that I bought Tefal, it's just a little more difficult to clean it and the sole is slightly rubbed off (maybe it just seems to me))

And I have a Roventa, so I can’t help you.

I have Phillips, has been serving for four years and that's it.

And I have Roventa, I don’t know the model number, but it’s written on the Aktilayn iron and made in Germany. I bought it 10 years ago, the seller advised. I never broke down, but recently the water began to leak, or maybe I pour a lot. It is necessary to disassemble and see what he has there, maybe some gaskets have come into disrepair.

hmm ... a complete ambush with irons ..... outwardly choose, so to speak at random, I can't, I don't buy anything like that ... and they, in principle, are all similar ... I need an iron of a good company within 800-1000 UAH and then, once every 1.5 years I do not really want irons!

Excellent iron OBH Nordica Steam Iron Formula 400i TS, bought three months ago in SUOMI, my wife is not overjoyed. In general, OBH Nordica is a very good company, it's a pity we don't have its products.

I think one of the junior bork models will do for the price, they are not bad. you can steam iron wool, I have never spoiled a single thing.

Hello everyone! I also choose an iron for myself. I looked after Phillips 3320. But in our city it is not on sale. I do not dare to order on the Internet. But I don’t want anything else. read the characteristics in the internet. It has a not very big steam boost of 100g per minute. But I choose an iron !!! I was also attracted to it: the length of the cord is 3 meters, not all models have such a cord, and most importantly it does not break, turns 360 degrees. And a decent weight of 1630g. this is important for an iron. Capacity for water 300g. I fell in love with him, although I have not yet used it. I want to order what would be brought. I wish you good luck with your choice: girl_in_dreams: oh, it still depends on how much you expect. There are better ones, but more expensive, so I chose according to my finances

If you choose only between these two, then Brown is better. It has a nozzle on the sole - a textile protector. This allows you to steam iron without burning the fabric. (Sorry for the ABC book, but the iron has steam only at high temperatures, and without a special nozzle, the fabric can be damaged).

Bosch has a ceramic sole, it needs to be handled very carefully, it gets scratched over time. Not fast, but still damaged.

Yes, this thing he has very good ...
However, it does not have an auto power off function ....

Unfortunately, ideal devices (if they exist at all?) Are insanely expensive, so you have to choose what is more relevant to you.

Yesterday there was a pen test, I liked it, but the iron has not yet passed the test completely, so far only on bed linen and steaming a woolen overdried sweater, everything turned out well. I don’t know about 4 layers, but it takes 2 layers easily, without pressing on the fabric. In general, I put it at 5 for now compared to a regular iron.

Irisha, are you still happy with it?
Redhead
I have a Redmond RI-C218 iron. I am very pleased that I chose it. I bought it at the end of last year. Although I chose a completely different iron of a different brand before going to the store on the Internet, Redmond did not consider it at all. But when I came to the store and carefully examined all the irons, my opinion changed. I described my iron on the otzovik website. So as not to repeat myself, here is a link to my review with photos

At the time of writing the review itself, I was using it for only the second month. Now more time has passed. But the impressions have not changed. All perfectly. The outsole is still in excellent condition. And it also turned out that it has convenient control. Just one button switches the mode.
Redhead
Oh, and for some reason the link is not inserted. Maybe not? In theory, there is only my review for this model on the otzovik. It's just too lazy to rewrite what I wrote there. And I will not write in such detail.
ellen
Ladies, I want to bring up the issue of irons.
nothing new, like everyone else - they ruined Roventa, presumably after another fall a container for water broke. Ironing is possible, but without steam humidification (short). And this is already masochism.
Considered Philips 4919.
Any reviews?
Or advice on an alternative, suddenly I'm looping on the wrong one. :-)))
