Pour boiling water over poppy seeds, immediately water drain... Pour boiling water over a second time, cover and leave to steam for 10-15 minutes. Drain the water, poppy squeeze out and dry.
Well, how do you do this procedure? Let's take a closer look.
Omela
Panevg1943 I do it in this Taper brew mug:

🔗

I put the poppy in the infuser. Pour boiling water over and close the lid. Then I raise the strainer, wait for all the water to drain, put the poppy on a saucer with a paper towel or just on a large plate, distribute it with my hands over the entire volume. It is necessary to wait purely symbolically for the poppy to simply weather. I also tried to squeeze the poppy through cheesecloth, but then it's hard to scrape off this poppy from the gauze !!

Omela, I always cook poppy seeds with sugar, but this is for the filling. You can probably try it through the tea strainer in the teapot, but I'm afraid you won't wash it later.
Omela
Panevg1943 , just pour in a glass and cover with a saucer. You can further aggravate with a towel on top!

Please, specify - a glass from a multicooker or a regular one (this is when you measure out flour and kefir). And yet, I am not a fan of poppy seeds, you can add raisins to the pie instead, for example.
Omela
March , ordinary glass, specified in the recipe. I can't say anything about raisins, I have never done it. Theoretically, you can. Try it, tell us later!
March
Thank you. One of these days I will definitely try to bake and report back.

"I'm not a poppy lover, you can add raisins to the pie instead, for example."

March, I'm on the site for the second day and I'm not sure what I'm doing right now, but I really wanted to share my experience with you on your question.

This pie can be made not only with poppy seeds, but also chopped nuts and not very large raisins. I also tried to do it with finely chopped dried fruits (peaches and dried apricots), as well as with candied fruits. Everything turns out very tasty and beautiful. The main thing is not to overdo it with additives.
julia-bor
Omela , baked your pie today. Delicious and really very simple Poured with cranberry syrup.

Now I have a question: red: I used to bake a cake on kefir in Russia, it always worked out fine, but here kefir is like that. It always turns out a heavy dough, a little sticky So yesterday it turned out deliciously, but heavy, can I add baking powder? I don’t know, I’ve never worked on kefir as before
Omela
Malika , a wonderful pie turned out !!!

Unfortunately, I do not know what kind of kefir you have. You need this to Stеrn seek advice on German kefir. I always use soda in recipes with kefir. And of course you should try it on baking powder, since there is no reciprocity with soda!
Malika
Omela, thanks for the advice. We still can't get baking soda here, they haven't been delivered to Russian stores for several months, they slow down at the border
SupercoW
and here I will bring "thank you" and a report.

Omela, we also baked your pie. delicious. but apparently I spoiled my boys with soft cakes - they said rather dryly.
and I had a great pleasure cracking at breakfast with a tea. I love when you don’t need to mess around with poppy seeds.

I replaced kefir with homemade yogurt.
Omela
SupercoW , great pie, so tall !!! And you smeared with jam on top ??? It softens the structure when absorbed !! To my husband, this poppy resembles a gingerbread!

Well, I don't have jam in my house. I am not able.
so I just smeared every piece of condensed milk and that's it. with jam would probably be nicer. I was so cool with the tea, but next time I will probably buy some kind of varenka.

Mistletoe, take the report! Delicious, but it is advisable to lubricate with something. I also added a little lemon zest to the dough.
Thanks for the pie!

Vitalinka , sunny pie turned out !! And lubrication is not a problem, I think!
Vitalinka
Problem! There is nothing to smear! They took mine to work.
And I just muddied Chelsea with a double!
halya
I didn’t succeed in changing the wine, I could add a lot of flour, I’m dry, I changed it to the dumplings, I didn’t hide the situation (((melodiously, I won’t bake it anymore (((
Omela
halya , it's a pity that you didn't succeed! Choose your recipe - we have a lot of them on the forum. Good luck!
cat813
This is how it turned out. But very dry. I think it's worth cutting and smearing something inside

Summer
I mixed it ... I'm waiting, sir ... oh, it's a pity that it bakes longer than it gets in the way, and the dough is tasty, you can sip with a spoon.
Summer
Well, as expected, everything turned out great! Thank you Mistleto, all your recipes are very good and easy to use! Of course, the pie would still be anointed with dumplings, but already it is necessary to burst into work and and therefore there is no time to wait, cut it warm ... delicious aaaaa
Thanks again !!!!
Omela
Olesya, Thank you too! Glad you liked!
