Curd pudding in a double boiler

Ingredients

Cottage cheese 400 gr. (2 packs
Sugar 1/2 cup (brl 50 grams)
Egg 4 pieces large
Candied fruit 100 grams (can be replaced with raisins or dried fruits
Butter 40 grams (did not put)
Ground crackers 4 tbsp. l (I have the remainder of Barley bread from Krosh, dried in a pan and chopped - it gave a yellowish color)
Zest from 1 orange or lemon

Cooking method

  • I continue to torment the double boiler. Next in line is dessert, delicious and dietary. Here's the challenge, right?
  • So:
  • Separate the whites from the yolks and beat separately until dense foam. Mix all the other ingredients, carefully stir in the whipped egg whites last.
  • Put in a greased rice container or other container (I did it in a plastic bowl), cover with a lid or foil, in a double boiler for 1 hour. Check of doneness: the pudding is falling behind the walls of the container.
  • Tasty both hot and cold. Serve with condensed milk, sweet cream or other sweet sauce. We ate with condensed milk.
  • Bon Appetit!

Time for preparing:

1 hour

ZdABOUTExactly how! I've been going to cook a curd soufflé in a steamer for several days already ... I wanted to steam in a slow cookerHave, so I just can't think of what to pour the curd mass into so that this vessel would fit into the basket-double boiler ... and somehow I don't really want to get the Tefalev double boiler from the top shelf, it's lazy for me ... but your pudding turned out to be peculiar " kick "in the direction of the pantry (the upper shelf with a double boiler is right there) ... a very interesting recipe, thanks!

Crochet, Thank you!
The dessert is really good, believe me. I periodically did this on steam in a regular saucepan, but it is long and dreary. And then - he threw it in, pulled out the finished one - babble!
And what about the capacity, lina right, you can roll up the foil container, or arrange the dough in several small forms. The "dough" is not fluid. It seems to me that even the option of lining the basket of a double boiler with foil or baking paper would work.

I willingly believe you, and I will definitely try your recipe, only I will buy cottage cheese, because only today I have exhausted 3 packs of cottage cheese ...

This is exactly the option I thought about ... Or just put them in small silicone muffin tins and place them in the basket-steamer ... you have to go and measure how many tins will fit in it ...

Thank you friend for the idea!
