  • Banana Caramel Pie
  • How to cook caramel correctly:
  • 1. For caramel you need the right pan - for example, an aluminum with a thick bottom, colorless, so that you can clearly see the difference between the bottom of the pan and the changing color of the caramel.
  • 2. Preheat a saucepan and add sugar. After 5 minutes, the sugar should begin to melt and run thin at the edges. Then you need to shake the pan and leave again until about a quarter of the sugar has melted.
  • 3. Then, using a wooden spoon, stir lightly and continue to heat until all the sugar becomes a liquid of the color of dark liquid honey - dark amber. It should take about 10 minutes from start to finish, and it's important to be patient and not rush the process - this is the easiest mistake to make when making caramel. It is necessary to stand all this time over medium heat.
  • 4. And at the end add oil and cook until the oil dissolves.

Time for preparing:

20-30 minutes.

Cooking program:

Bake in an oven preheated to 180-200C

Note

Very tender and delicious !! Recommend!!

prada, welcome to the site! You have your first message and in Omelkina to the topic SchA the hostess will come and give a full and detailed
Thanks for the greeting
In the near future I am going to buy a bread maker and in this regard I have been "living" on this site for some time. EVERYTHING is very interesting and informative, attracts a detailed, step-by-step description of various sweets. As soon as I buy my wonderful car, I will definitely also share my exploits with the inhabitants of this forum. In the meantime, it remains only to lick your lips.
BUT, here are some masterpieces can be repeated just in the oven, as soon as I saw the recipe and pictures of Omela, I immediately wanted to run away from work and take up the preparation of this delicious
The only thing was that I was worried that the dough might stick ....... did not want to offend the hostess ...
Omela
Girls, thank you all for the kind words !! That's why I love our forum, for the economy !!! They came, settled down, drank some tea, talked and discussed !! You don't even need a hostess !!! Banana Caramel Pie

prada welcome to the forum! What grievances - a question in essence! ;) The dough will definitely not stick, as it will lie on top of your bananas. Caramel has a chance to stick. ... It happened in one place for me, but I easily picked off the banana, stuck it back and said that it was !!! To prevent this from happening, use good paper that you are sure of. And let the pie cool slightly before flipping. If doubts are already very strong, then you can do it without paper, right in the form of Teflon. Good luck!
Olga
Omela, we ate a lot of goodies, but from this baldela! it seems like the dough is simple, but the taste !!!! In the morning they finished eating, my husband looked at the last bite with eagerness, said, my conscience does not allow me to eat up such deliciousness myself. I'll have to repeat it again today ... Omela, I'm just wondering why, when I was making caramel (filling), did it become like a candy cow? Did I overexpose? In what container should it be done? I did it in a teflon ladle, maybe because of this? There were 2 bananas available, very good too.
Omela
In the voice of the cat Matroskin: "URAAAAA !! Earned !!!!"

Olga , Glad you liked it. There will be an opportunity, next time be sure to take a picture !!

The number of bananas depends on the size of the dish in which you bake: the circles should fit all over the bottom.

As for the caramel, I can honestly tell you that I don't know how to determine the condition, that it is ready !! I've been making this cake for three years, if not more, and all the time my caramel is different in consistency! I think it all depends on the cooking time. And the name "caramel" I think is conditional - here the butter, anyway, will not solidify very hard. And for myself, I have already decided that the optimal state is when the mass just thickens. I boil in Thermomix metal for about 10 min.

Thermomix is a type of combine, it heats up to the required temperature and simultaneously mixes. You can see here 🔗

Mistletoe, is it better not to make this pie in a cartoon?
Omela
Lisss's , I never did. Even such a thought did not arise! I have it small - you won't turn around too much. Theoretically, I think it's possible. The only thing, I would have covered it with paper - it will be more convenient to pull it out.
Gypsy
Omela, the beauty!

Girls, I am again with the old link, the Japanese have many pages of recipes for rice cookers, val-zaval pies, I remember there were banana ones:

Mistletoe, today I have your pie in the morning specially hit the road for bananas and for yogurt, which I never found, replaced it with a milk cocktail with banana flavor "buttermilk". I cooked caramel for the first time in my life, so I don’t know what it should be - I cooked it until it thickened, but I still felt sugar, I spat on the whole thing and smeared it on the paper - then I baked everything as the doctor prescribed, cooled it down a bit and turned it over, put in place some spare parts and ... ate a huge piece It's delicious to disgrace, I'll tell you girl
only I don't have enough salt, you haven't forgotten in the recipe for it
Omela
nut , Ir, I'm ashamed to ask, but where is it missing ??? Yes, what problems, salt on you:

Banana Caramel Pie

Salt, where do you need it !! Just kidding. I specially went and looked - there is no salt !!! And I want to express special gratitude to you for the speed !! Well this is necessary, especially with the morning, running !!! Well done !!!! If only I could take a picture !!! Oh please!!!!!
nut
And what a piece, I can and almost all of it Only he has a form of salt in the recipe in many baked goods, but I add - I don't like when it's fresh

Lisss's, no matter how much I tried to make baking in the cartoon with pocket bottom, it doesn't work, it gets wet. There will be no caramel.
Lisss's
so, I report !!!

This pie is very tasty, the combination of banana with caramel - I love it !!! and the dough itself is very interesting, it looks like a butter biscuit and a shortbread at the same time. delicious, in a word, hefty !!!

MistletoeThank you for sharing the recipe !!! suffered a plus sign
Suslya
She brought her own pie, for some reason the caramel is dark, but still very tasty

Banana Caramel Pie

how banana-scented and delicious it is! Thanks for the recipe!

Made in cartoon, Baking - 60 min.

Omela, we have banana fever here for the second time in two days, yesterday the older child ate everything!

today baked it a little differently, made it closer to the butter biscuit. added 1 more egg, and beat like a biscuit (butter and sugar, then eggs one at a time, and then in turn at low speed yogurt and flour with baking powder). it turned out to be different in texture, namely butter biscuit.and the banana-caramel top is beyond competition!

Banana Caramel Pie

Omela about "handsome" is too much, yours is much more appetizing: nyam: The taste of the photo speaks for itself breakfast and that's what is left The only moment the bananas stuck to the paper a little, I had to take them off with a knife :) if you bake in a silicone mold, how will it lag?
Omela
crossby , do not slander a pie - handsome !!! A lot also depends on the paper. I only got stuck in two places. In silicone, in theory, it should not stick. I don't have a suitable one, I can't try it!
crossby
And I was trying to bake everything in silicone :) I thought I'd ruin it. Next time I will definitely try and unsubscribe

Banana Caramel Pie
So I baked a pie
There was no baking paper in the house, I used foil. Absolutely nothing stuck, I recommend everyone to use it. I made caramel for the first time, some foam started to form, I added a little water. I don't know if this is correct, but the caramel made me happy in the end. The household members liked it very much !!! I take the recipe into the piggy bank, voted for it
THANKS Omela!
Omela
prada , what a wonderful pie you got !!!!! And thanks for the foil rationalization proposal !!!
NIZA
Suslya, and you greased a cartoon saucepan with something? Did everything fall out well? Not stuck? Tell me more
Suslya
I put some paper in a saucepan, made high walls, and then carefully pulled out the cake by the edges, and waited until it cooled down a little, otherwise the caramel would melt and if you turn it over right away, everything would flow.

Pen test ... in a silicone form, peeled off with a bang, the taste is the only caramel for my taste, pale, apparently because of the silicone. Tomorrow I will bake to-go in Teflon ... let's see what happens!

kleskox35 , WOW !!! : wow: Banana tree !!! Super!!!!

For a darker caramel, try melting the sugar first and then adding the butter. The girls did this, it turned out dark.
obgorka_gu
As I saw this cake, the idea immediately arose in the cartoon to try it, while I was walking with ideas, it turned out that Suslya was already baking too, it's nice that the train of thought coincided
Banana Caramel Pie
Made in a multicooker Panasonic (large). Baking 60 min.
My changes: I added half a teaspoon of citric acid to the caramel, and sprinkled bananas with 1 tbsp. l sugar. Instead of butter, I added vegetable oil to the dough and added a pinch of salt, a pinch of vanilla. The aroma went through the apartment enchanting ... I barely waited to turn it over (the saucepan was warm), turned over well, due to the abundant liquid caramel, the paper went away without problems, I did not dare to cut it and try it, but the caramel turned out to be very tasty (the child is happy with everything that is not on the pie scraped out) and picked out a piece of banana, it tastes very similar to dried bananas, only very soft. I don't know how the dough came out yet (the tooth was dry, I will cut it after it has cooled completely, then I will add a photo), but I really liked the idea with bananas in caramel, the ease of preparation and the possibility of using it in a cartoon is very pleasant. Thanks Omelochka! Cool pie!
While the child was writing, he could not resist and cut it and already tried it, everyone liked it, I think when it cools down to the end it will be even tastier!
Thanks again! Here is the cutter Banana Caramel Pie

Mistletoe !!! Thanks for the recipe !!! I could!!! : wow: I don't like messing around in the kitchen for a long time. I need it fast and tasty
The only digression is peach yogurt instead of banana yogurt)))Banana Caramel Pie

Banana Caramel Pie

She gave him a little to cool down, so the caramel spread slightly, but the hungry five-year-old pirate simply could not wait longer))) And so he staged a demonstration near the balcony with the exclamation "Give me a cake")))

You need to add in the first post that beginners can do it too)))

Now I will carry this work (of course, not what will remain if I stay today)))) And on Friday I will carry it to the garden to celebrate my son's DR. I want to decorate the top with more strawberries)))

Thanks again!!!
NIZA
Well, this banana fever hooked me too, I cooked this pie in a cartoon yesterday, I had cherry yogurt, dough butter / margarine 50/50, the smell was just awesome, the taste was also excellent, the only thing that confused me was that that the bananas darkened in the morning, and did not get such a sunny shade as I would like, although this did not prevent us from grinding a good half of the pie during a light breakfast. But for the future I think, maybe the bananas should have been sprinkled with lemon?
Omela
NIZA , I enroll you in the ranks of the banana fever victims! Glad you liked it! My bananas don't turn black. I cut them straight into caramel, then they are all in it .. Maybe the caramel is a little liquid and spread around the edges? In theory, sprinkling with lemon juice will definitely not darken.

This last one is in silicone mold, no paper. You just need to wait a little for it to cool down and turn it over. A Gopher generally in a multicell pitch.

Mistletoe, thanks for the recipe, though late, but I made it. Time 12, and I'm with a piece. Eh, the barn burned down, burn and hut

Girls, tell me, can you replace the baking powder with soda and vinegar (that is, extinguish it), or soda in half with citric acid? Well, I really want to cook this handsome pie!
Omela
Nova can of course be replaced with soda. I would not extinguish (there is yogurt) and would not add citric acid.
Nova
Thank you, I'll bake it tomorrow morning. It is strange that she herself had not thought of this. In this way (soda + kefir) I make pancakes.
Omela
Good luck!
Nova
Mistletochka, I am writing with a delay, because I do not know how to insert a photo, but I have questions. The pie is so delicious that I'll have to repeat and repeat it! There is one deviation from the recipe: instead of banana yogurt, I took homemade kefir and 1/2 banana up to 135g and flour 1c 230g. The dough turned out to be simply masterpiece, only a little yellowish (apparently because of the banana). But the appearance of caramel leaves much to be desired ... I am not friends with caramel, and I would like to know the intricacies of how to cook it. I cooked the first caramel in the morning - threw it away, left the dough in the refrigerator, cooked a new one in the evening, and that's what happened.

Banana Caramel Pie Banana Caramel Pie

The son only said that the filling is not enough (and this is 4 bananas!). Next time, I will divide the dough into 2 halves and put the bananas on top and between the dough layers.
I voted for the recipe - I will repeat it. Thank you!
Omela
Nova , gorgeous pie !!! Bravo!!!

dancer

Mistletoe! I baked a cake. Butter and sugar were mixed and put on fire in a saucepan with thin walls, then poured into a "thicker" saucepan, no caramel was obtained, sugar did not dissolve. I think the butter is painfully good, not watery and the addition of liquid was required. Added water 2 tbsp. spoons and the process has begun! Although my family refused caramelized bananas, I ate it in two days with pleasure.
