Seafood with vegetables and sauce in a double boiler

Ingredients

SAUCE
Flour 1 tbsp. the spoon
Cream 10% 1/2 cup
MAIN COURSE
Telapia 300 grams (defrost, squeeze, put a slice of lemon on top) -lower basket
Seafood cocktail 300 grams (defrost, squeeze) - medium basket
Frozen vegetables cauliflower, broccoli, carrots, green beans - frozen - about 1 pack (I collected a little from three) - top basket.

Cooking method

  • The first experience of cooking in a double boiler. Today they just brought it!
  • Half an hour for a couple, most likely about 25 minutes, my broccoli turned out softer than I wanted. Do not salt.
  • After the end of the program, drain the juice from the pan into a saucepan and put on fire. Dilute 1 tbsp. l. flour in half a glass of cream (I have 10%), pour into the boiling sauce. Season with salt and pepper to taste. You can add greens, I guess.
  • Serve with sauce. I like it. The steamer will be!
  • This amount was enough for a family of 3 people.

Time for preparing:

30 minutes

Cooking program:

for 3 persons

I accidentally have almost all the ingredients in stock, except for seafood, just run tomorrow and buy ..., I've been looking at them for a long time, and here is such a wonderful recipe! I'll have to run ...

Oh thank you! so nice!

Kvitka, a seafood cocktail is, in principle, optional. This I arranged a holiday - "wash" the acquisition. Just fish with vegetables and sauce will be very even.

By the way! I then thought that with the usual method of cooking (fry fish, boil vegetables) I would never feed so many three people! Fish that frozen 300 grams is soaked in water and glazed (layer of ice). After defrosting there probably half remained, and the fish is fried ogogo like. And here - no weight loss!
Here's another advantage of the steamer - economy!

I like it very much, I like to save ..... Here, instead of telapia, I'll get a cheaper white fish from the freezer - it seems I was buying an ice one, or a blue whiting ??? will go? And both cabbage in the freezer, and asparagus beans! HURRAH! I will only need to buy seafood And the steamer has not been used for a long time, I switched something to MV

KVitochka, I am waiting for your interpretation of such a simple and wonderful recipe! And fish in a double boiler is definitely tastier, I don't know what is saved there or not ... but the fish remains juicy (or sometimes it turns out a little dry when frying fish) and is just as tasty or even tastier.
Can you tell us about the ice fish? I somehow never bought one, how to cook it? and in general, what is it?

Tasty, I liked it - I got a really economical option, it was raining yesterday, I didn't want to go out for seafood, but I still have to cook. This is generally "my" food - fish and vegetables. Of course, the fatter the fish, the better it would be. THANKS for a great idea. Seafood will be next time ...

In principle, I used to do another option in a double boiler - I put fish pieces + vegetables in portions in foil, added a spoon to grow oils, spices and steam. And that's it, without the sauce. And here it turns out a very good sauce, it improves the taste of vegetables and fish.
