Duck stuffed with apples with sauerkraut garnish was planned for the evening.
But I had to leave, so after frying the duck on Baked goods on both sides, I decided to put it on a timer.
The instructions say that it is necessary to indicate the start time of the proposed heating (it was not the final, but the initial one that was muddied) It turned out to be quite difficult to determine ... I needed what would be ready in 2.5-3 hours. I put it 2 hours. Interval of time in 30 minutes.
When I got home, I found that the pot was still cooking, but somehow strange. The scoreboard was 0006, but there was a rise in pressure? ..

After the end of the program, I realized that the lid does not fit snugly to the pan and it cannot cook normally because of this. My duck was half-baked. I twisted it and pressed it. Everything seems to be dressed correctly and the elastic band and the inner cover itself. Maybe this is due to the large filling of the pan? Although the duck was not lying flat, but slightly on end, with its paws to the top. I decided that these paws prevented the lid from closing normally and, without hesitation, cut them off.
Turned on again MEAT... The lid already fell better, but still sometimes it could start to build up pressure again in intervals.

The duck came out for the second run soft, just right!

Today I want to try pilaf, at the same time I will check how the saucepans will behave. I just don't know which program is better to choose RIS or MEAT?
dok-tor4
I did pilaf yesterday. Fried meat and carrots on beans... After filling rice and pouring water (1: 1), not counting frying, set the mode meat... Everything turned out to be led. ... After the end of cooking, I let out steam and mixed the contents, since I needed pilaf in an hour and left it on heating. If you eat right away, then you don't need to interfere.
RybkA
For some reason, I constantly fry on Baking, I'm probably used to it ... If you cover it with a lid, the frying process is literally instantaneous, and it'll just burn! With the lid open, everything is much more moderate.

I did pilaf yesterday. Fried meat and carrots on beans. After filling the rice and pouring water (1: 1), not counting the frying, I set the meat mode. It all came out, believed led
So, with roasting it is clear, but why is it still meat? Is the rice boiled normally?
RybkA
And I cooked pea soup for lunch. The peas are really boiled down completely. The potatoes remained intact. The taste is exactly like from a pioneer camp!
The pot did just fine! But again, sometimes, when the countdown was already going on, in the intervals I could additionally gain pressure for a couple of seconds. Don't know whether to worry or not?
dok-tor4 , how about that? Did you notice something like that?
dok-tor4
It should be so. * Gravicapa * picks up pressure and turns off while it holds there. As soon as the pressure drops (it cannot stay there forever, the hole next to the valve bleeds off the excess), the cookware is again heated to the required pressure. Therefore, the * DAC * does NOT consume 900 watts of energy, as stated, but about 400 by maintaining heat inside (such as a thermos), and PERIODIC heating
In general, my name is Anton. Dok-tor4 - This is for the neta.

The meat takes longer to cook, so the meat and cooked, but the rice was all right, it was not boiled.

Very nice, Anton. And I'm Lena, boom now communicate normally

You reassured me, otherwise I was about to make "screams" about this.
Consumed el. energy worries me a little, because we have long gone beyond the reasonable use of electricity, we realized that there was no other way to relax.

And I never made it to pilaf yesterday, we will try again on Thursday.

natalka , you have an interesting version of borscht with a whole beet. Need to try.

I also did not do this before, and then I read this advice somewhere, tried it and it stuck. A really wonderful way out in those cases when you are reluctant or not able to be on duty over the saucepan and throw everything in turn.
Tatuli
Well, vooot ... I was about to order this miracle saucepan and was stopped by the lack of a steaming stand. But how to cook diet steamed cutlets or the same manti? What if you don't have a pallet from other equipment at hand, well, apart from a microwave grill stand?

Tatuli, I was also upset at first that there was no stand. I ran to try on from the microwave - again an ambush, it does not fit. I think I need something to calm down ... I went to read about the pressure cookers, looked at their coasters and realized that not everything is so fabulous ... - these coasters with very large holes, more than in a microwave stand, only put whole vegetables there , I think the manti will also fall through, the cutlets are similar ... In general, the people are not very happy with this contraption, who has adapted how. Who still uses cartoons for steaming, who used their old drushlaki, who silicone folding drushlaki, who inserts an ordinary petal steamer ...
For now I will manage with what I have, and then it will be seen ...
Tatuli
RybkA, and if you close your eyes to the steamer, otherwise it is easy for "dummies" to manage and cook this MV, or should you look for something simpler - like Aurora? I'm still interested in how porridge comes out in this cartoon?
RybkA
Tatuli I don't know what kind of beast this Aurora is, I can't compare, but, in general, very positive impressions, both in speed and in the very result. Although the instruction is one and a half pages, there is nothing complicated - press and blow (s). You just select the desired program and that's it, even the START button is not present, which at first was not usual. The main thing is to understand the operation of the valve - whether it is closed or open; with the valve closed, do not poke your nose until it penetrates.
I just haven't cooked porridge yet, we don't eat very quickly. At the weekend, I think I'll try. But the pilaf was good.
Tatuli
Oh, Rybochka, I will wait impatiently for the impression of the porridge .. And what else was cooked in it? And if it can be used as a regular cartoon (at low pressure), have you tried making the notorious yogurt? I look forward to more stories about this miracle technique.

For yogurt, I think it will not work. Does not keep a low temperature for a long time.
Tatuli
I know for a riba penny ... Anton, have you solved in practice the problem of the lack of a container-steamer? This function is very important for me and it is in this SV.
dok-tor4
Well, so far this question has not poked me, but I just put peeled potatoes on the meat. I have done this more than once. It turns out super.
Tomorrow I'll try to cook vegetables for a vinaigrette (steam it), unsubscribe.
dok-tor4
Cooked vegetables for vinaigrette. I put everything in a saucepan. Water 0.5l. Meat mode (15 min.)
Bottom line: large potatoes with a fist are great, large carrots are super. Medium-sized beets, with an apple Semerenko-Nedovar.
Conclusion: cook the beet separately or cook for another ten minutes.
RybkA
So, I've made yoghurts a couple of times already. I was pleased with the result.
The first time it was like this ...
She poured cold water into a saucepan. I put two 0.5 liter cans with prepared milk. She took milk from the refrigerator. Included on HEATING for 15 minutes. I set a timer so I wouldn't miss it. After 15 minutes, there was already very hot water in the pan. Measured and received 60 * C. This is the speed! I had to run to take out the jars, which, by the way, had also warmed up more than 50 * C and topped up with a couple of tablespoons of milk from the refrigerator, in general, to the very beginning. Part of the water was drained and diluted with cold water. I leveled it to 40 * C, put everything back in place and closed the lid. Left home for the whole day. It took about 9 hours, the yoghurt was slightly out of condition, a little thin. I turned it on again HEATING on 3 minutes... The water immediately became warm. And left for another 1.5 hours. During this time, everything was fine. I sent it to the refrigerator, then a little serum left, I see it was slightly overexposed.
I repeated it a couple of days later. I immediately turned it on for HEATING for 5 minutes - not enough, somewhere 33 * C showed, added another 3 minutes - exactly 40 *. She turned it off and went to bed. In the morning, after 8 hours, it was watery again, turned it on again HEATING for 3 minutes, left for 1 hour no more - excellent result, no serum.

Make yogurt healthy! For the patient, it may not be necessary additionally HEATING turn on, and wait another hour 1.5 ...
RybkA
I also cooked pea porridge.
I did not soak the peas, washed them, salted them, dripped them with oil and set them to cook. I took water 1: 1. For the program CONGEE (I call it milk porridge). For everything about everything, 40-45 minutes with a full pressure release. Peas in fluff, I didn't even have to finish off with a blender, mixed with a spatula and that's it ... just for the toothless ones. I learned the water just for the normal condition of porridge and not thin and not cool
Olenana
Hello! She has been with me for a whole week, she took from Marina, her phone is here. Here's what I've already prepared:
1) Buckwheat with meat. Pork meat on the meat mode: I immediately threw half rings with onions, although it was probably possible to fry the onion, then I added an ordinary cup of buckwheat 250 g and one and a half water - rice mode All together for about 35 minutes (meat mode 13, and rice mode 14 + time for descent and steam collection). And everyone is in SHOCK !!! what it is??? how can this be ??? Tasty, and that says it all, the meat was not completely thawed, but tasted like stew, many thought that the rabbit
2) Biscuit is the easiest to sample. 1 st. flour, 1 tbsp. sugar, 2 eggs, vinegar slaked soda and raisins for decoration. 2 eggs (in general, it should be at least 3), but it was a pity to beat with a mixer with sugar (ideally, only yolks, whites separately, but for a sample it will do), add flour and soda (quenched). Decorate with raisins. Baking program. A normal budget (as they write here) tea pie came out. There is even a photo, but that later ...
3) Veal meat for boiled pork: tied it up, coated with salt and spices and on the Meat mode, then on Baking for 15 minutes, turned it off and left to cool. The meat was baked well and released approx. 200 gr. juice.
4) Soup: I cooked two options, one on beef with peas, the second on juice from the previous recipe with rice and cereal - the Soup program. I always fry - onions and carrots, although I know that it is harmful, but for the first time I did not feel that there was no frying! And this is a big plus for me !!! And this mode did not disappoint me ... somehow strange ...
far away ...
Olenana
I continue:
5) Honey cake - recipe taken from here:
#
- made exactly according to the recipe - it turned out super, high, especially in the middle, the Baking program.
6) Pilaf - I fried meat (small pieces of rabbit), carrots and onions on baking, added rice, water, spices and on Meat - 25 minutes, here it takes a little less time, probably 18-20 minutes, the rice is slightly soft, I like it tighter, but she was afraid that the rabbit would not be fried, apparently in vain she was afraid ... In general, with meat for me, a complete shock: well, how does it all prepare so quickly ???

============
specify the link, please, it is not working.

Olenana
copied the recipe itself:

Honey cake
HONEY DOUGH
3 eggs, 1 glass of sugar, 2 tablespoons of honey, 1 teaspoon of baking soda, 3 glasses of flour, 220 g of margarine

In a deep bowl (preferably enameled), mix 220g margarine, sugar and honey.
Put the bowl with the mixture on the smallest heat.
Heat with constant stirring until sugar dissolves.
Add soda. Stir very well and stir all the time. The mixture will turn white, foamy and expand significantly. When the foam increases 4-5 times, remove the mixture from the heat and beat in the eggs (one at a time)
Add flour and stir. I sifted flour through a sieve.
The dough will turn out like a very, very thick sour cream - it mixes heavily, but you can stir it with a spoon.
Let the dough stand for 30 minutes. before baking.
Grease the cartoon with oil.
Spoon out the required amount of mass (the thinner, the more cakes will turn out), I IMMEDIATELY BECK WITH ONE BREAK FOR 4O MIN. - !!! I also baked with one cake just using the automatic machine on Baking !!!
Bake the cakes separately, each for 20 minutes, the last even for 15 minutes, because by this time will be enough.
RybkA
Olenana , our regiment has arrived! Congratulations!
I also made the meat as for boiled pork. Marinated, bandaged and put on MEAT, only increased the time by a maximum of 30 minutes. Everything is fine!
In general, I discovered for myself that sometimes you still need to increase the time.
You can read about how I cooked jellied meat in the topic about multicooker-pressure cooker https://Mcooker-enn.tomathouse.com/index.php@option=com_smf&topic=2924.0

This is the heating mode. To turn it off, press the yellow button!

The borsch will work out, but in the soup mode it takes a lot of time for borscht. 10-12 minutes in Congree mode. And I also came to the conclusion that it is better not to cook borscht in it. It turns out the taste of the table. But for soups, it's just a supper.

Good evening! Last week became the owner of ELBEE. The instruction, of course, just like yours .... ((AHOVAYA (On the very first evening they tried to cook an arnovka - the first difficulty, of course, the amount of water. I still can't decide on it: they cooked pilaf 1: 1, it turned out dry , but they boiled peas 1: 1.5 - it turned out to be a slurry (but very tasty) .... Well, it may come with experience. I tried to bake a biscuit in the "baking" mode, according to the classic recipe, it turned out very, very tasty , the only thing that upset - there was no crust on top and it was not easy to take out. the cauldron turned out to be salty, but I was afraid to oversalt the meat - not salted ... How would you advise to fight this or, again, hope for experience?
dok-tor4
Cook cereal porridge 1: 1.5 and will not break through. With rice, the question is complicated - it all depends on the variety. But in principle, this proportion is also suitable if you do not like dry rice in pilaf (there will also be butter and juice from meat there).
I didn't tell you with peas, I only cooked soup from it-mmmmmmmmm-food from the pioneer camp!
Sponge cake, yes, it is not fried on top, but it can be perfectly turned upside down. And to make it easier to remove, grease the saucepans with plums. butter and flour before pouring into the dough.
With salt, this is also the case here ... For some reason, less salt is needed in this saucepan. Why so, I don’t know, although I like very salty. Well, there is a matter of taste.

How does a saucepan behave?
My multi Panasonic has already scratched the bottom of the saucepan, but I can't, I need to change the saucepan.
Yes, and this despite the fact that my blade is Teflon, Tefal.
And add 100 UAH and you get a new ELBEE. That's interesting for those who already actively use it, like the bottom in saucepans? Scratches quickly?
Cartoon remote
Good evening girls. Happy spring holiday and beautiful women to you !!! As for the pressure cooker, I will say that I am very pleased so far - the pots are behaving well. I would not buy at a frenzied price, but would purchase a new, inexpensive multicooker, especially since Marina (the phone is higher) I immediately over 80 gr. bought a second saucepan. But, since this is a pressure cooker, I ordered a cartoon, and tomorrow I should get DEH 50. A simple arithmetic calculation showed that Elby for 550 (with a pan) and DEH for 630 is cheaper than one Panasonic. And given that one is fast and the other is slow, I am fully armed.
Rina
Cartoon remote, Congratulations! : rose: Your choice almost ideally covers all the needs of the kitchen, everything that can be required from the pan.

Nooooooooo ... Dex is not a slow cooker ... It's an electronically controlled rice cooker.
Slow Cookers - These are with ceramic pans and have only three heating modes (high, low and keep warm).

I named it a slow cooker because it has stew and simmer programs. Here!

Elena4ka, this saucepan is inferior to the quality of the coating in comparison with the pan from Panasonic. This is a simple, so to speak, non-stick coating. In terms of durability, it is still normal, but it is worth overdoing it over time or reducing the amount of content to a minimum, as the hour is uneven, that everything will burn. I've already done this twice.

Thank you, I see. So take a spare saucepan right away. Although Panasonic is also not very strong, the difference in price clearly speaks for Elbee.

The latter made a very good biscuit for Prague pastries: smooth, soft. She spread a piece of paper on the bottom, fell out normally.
barley with mushrooms came out just as well. I soaked pearl barley for a couple of hours. I cooked in the RIS mode, did not increase the time.
RybkA
Baked cabbage for lazy salad. So this was the first time, then I played a little with her, because I poured a lot of water at once, but it was necessary quite a bit, so that only the bottom could be covered. In general, for Baking for 10-15 minutes and a little water, salt, cut the cabbage into four parts. And in order to achieve darkening, as from the oven, leave on the HEAT for another 30-40 minutes, something like this ...

I ask for help, dear owners of the Elbee multicooker.
I work in the service. For the first time in my life, this multicooker was repaired.
The whole problem lies in the fact that the product is completely working, which is recognized even by the peasant who bought it, who is distinguished by excessive meticulousness. After reading the recipe, which, as I read here, was ripped off from another multicooker, he saw in one of them that the meat needs to be cooked for more than an hour. And the "meat" button gives 40 minutes (if you remember it correctly).
He himself will not get into the Internet, as I advised him (and at least ask knowledgeable people on this forum).
Therefore, I appeal to you, tell me some subtleties of working with a multicooker.
By the way, I contacted the service of Dnepropetrovsk (central) for more detailed instructions, but there is the same situation as mine. Everything in the book is with us.
Nathani
Good day!
Take me to the company of the owners of this multi.
I hid the instructions, along with the recipe book, away on the very first day.
From what I cooked:
pilaf, chicken cutlets, baked a cake and today made a rabbit in sour cream.
Liked everything except the cutlets (still dry).
The rabbit is amazing today!
It was stewed exclusively in its own juice, without a drop of oil and fat.

Igor_G , if still relevant, then this device is still pressure cooker... Cooking under pressure so food is cooked faster. Read this topic (it is short) and you will be able to independently explain incomprehensible moments to the client (and you will be ready in case of recurrence of such problems). By the way, maybe Elbee users will respond and advise in more detail. And the instructions for such pressure cookers (Unit, LL, etc.) are really written
RybkA
Igor_G, it's a pity, of course, that I arrived so late, but I will still answer, although to be honest, the essence of the question is not very clear.
I'll start by saying ks372, wrote you correctly, it really is pressure cooker.
Now about meat ... or about the MEAT program. The MEAT program is set to the maximum for 30 minutes, if after 30 minutes of cooking, the dish is still not ready, we put it on for a while. Or initially choose ANOTHER program, not necessarily MEAT, you can also BEANS, it is designed for a maximum of 60 minutes. But I personally have never had any excesses with UNCOOKED dishes. I personally cooked a 2 kg piece of boiled pork whole - in 30 minutes everything was ready. In general, I began to shorten the time)))
There are no special subtleties, everything is practice.

So I learned how to cook borscht, according to my own scheme - first, dressing with MILK Porridge for 4 minutes, then added everything else and for another 3 minutes on SOUP. The color remained, everything was cooked !!!
Nathani
RybkA, is there a milk porridge program in this cartoon?
RybkA
Nathani, program CONGEE translates as rice water... The meaning is the same as MILK Porridge. Today I cooked artek with tomatoes and mint, in the original it is Lebanese porridge. I used to cook in the microwave, so as not to interfere, now in a pressure cooker.
I was in a hurry to set it to 15 minutes by default, the result is excellent! I think you could have given less time.
Nathani
RybkA, and on this program I got a great chicken broth
RybkA
Nathani, and what time did you set? And the chicken was shop or homemade?
Broth was the first thing I did in this pressure cooker. I did it on SUP mode, in my opinion, .. where in the middle of the topic I described my impressions. And I cooked the jellied meat on BEANS to a maximum of two times, but to be honest (in a whisper), then I think you can try to cook at one time, if you really itch)))

The broth was from shop wings.

Good day! take to your ranks, please: flowers. Help with advice - for the first time I turn on the cartoon, the program "meat". steam comes from under the lid - it is written in the instructions "the lid is not properly closed". Explain how to do it correctly? and the valve - I have it there - it easily turns here and is not fixed in any position - is this normal? It's a shame of course to ask such elementary things
RybkA
TTaTT , welcome Somewhere in the middle of the topic, I wrote about the position of the valve.
The valve should rotate freely. In order to close it, you need to turn it FROM yourself. It will fix itself in the process of pressure build-up.
Then, in order to release steam, it will need to be turned towards you. If there is still pressure inside, you will immediately feel resistance and steam will go through the valve. If the pressure has already dropped, then the valve will turn freely again.
The pan may sizzle during pressure build-up, it seems that now it will rip off the lid))) But it stops quickly, do not worry.
Steam should not escape from under the lid itself. Try to see if the elastic is tight around the lid? And press lightly on the center of the cover, it should snap into place. Collapsible cover you know?
TTaTT
so I think that something is wrong with the rubber band! I took off the flat thing in the lid, checked the gum - it seemed to be lying as it should, but oh, five is steam! The elastic is in the lid and is pressed with a flat piece, do you need to press harder? thanks for such a quick response

My first attempt at inserting a photo. I don't know how it happened yet.
Save the girls and boys! Have you bought MV-sv or just sv from VICO? I saw "good" tools, but this one surpassed everyone. In general, there is nothing: not about the modes, where and how to increase the time, whether there is a timer (it is). There is a printout of recipes. Please discard someone else's instructions and maybe someone knows where else you can download tools for other St. I tried to increase the time. I press Time (+) and understand that this is a timer. Empirically, I determine that the time can be increased by pressing the pressure retention and then only for minutes (59 min.). What to expect from regimes? - I do not know.
I thought about ordering Elbee, but then I seduced the displacement (6L), Yes, and Elbee needs to be ordered from Kiev.
