I guess the secret is in the addition of confectionery fat (Shortening), which makes the glaze thinner. In the videos, some noticed that they use special bowls for melting chocolate / icing. They keep warm for a long time, preventing cooling and glaze.

And so I want to share with you about the glaze. I take the usual Ukrainian glaze by weight. But I had a problem that some of them were already cracking in the process, and some of the pops' cake cracked later. On one of the sites (about chocolate fountains) I read that if chocolate is too thick it is advised to dilute it with cocoa butter or vegetable oil. I tried the same thing with the icing.
For 100 grams of glaze, I take about 20 grams of vegetable oil (I just didn't have cocoa butter). I melt the glaze at the beginning, and then add the oil.
What are the pitfalls with this glaze.
1) The glaze is very liquid, and it is necessary to cover the cake-pop with it 2-3 times so that the dough does not show through (I mostly have chocolate dough).
2) If covered with brown glaze, it is enough to coat once
3) 20 grams of vegetable oil is not essential, less is possible. Find your middle. The function of the oil (as I understand it) is to make the glaze softer. The glaze will have the same properties - it will dry quickly and will not stick when it hardens. The oil is practically not felt when you eat the candy.
4) About how to paint. I painted like that. Diluted dry paint in a drop of water, and then added vegetable oil there, stirred and then this mixture into melted glaze. Of course, the color will not be saturated (but I dissuade clients from bright colors.) I tried it with a gel dye, but it turns out not a very beautiful color
