And recently, such a silicone baking dish for cake pops appeared on sale, and also 25 sticks in the kit.
And very cheap. We have a wholesale price of 37 hryvnia in Odessa, and 50 hryvnia at retail. On Monday I'll go to the store and buy it.

I filled it with dough exactly along the edge of the lower mold (which is without holes):

Closed the top form, snapped all the buttons:

It bakes for exactly 5 minutes, the readiness was checked with a splinter through the holes. Here is the outside view after baking:

I was worn out with the dough. I made a "vanilla sponge cake on boiling water", which I later regretted. The first run all stuck to the form, broke off and washed. I added corn oil and, accordingly, flour to the dough. The second batch lagged behind the walls, was taken out well, but the dough did not rise well, the whole ball did not fill. It turned out like this:

Cake Pops and Cake balls

So I had to add baking powder. Finally, I achieved the desired consistency:

I held the balls in the refrigerator, put the sticks on the chocolate, poured them with multi-colored icing, sprinkled them with chocolate chips:

It turned out delicious, beautiful, but the baking process itself is long and tedious. Or you need to buy several of these forms at once to speed up the process. And the dough needs to be selected differently. Next time I'll try the butter biscuit.

Lena, beautiful waters turned out. And everything is colorful as you can
Thank you very much for sharing your experience and impressions.
Tell me about the taste, please. One sponge cake, however, without cream. Not a bit dry?

Everyone who tried it liked it. Me too.
"Vanilla on boiling water" is a rather juicy biscuit. And after the glaze, the pops became even wetter. Apparently, while the icing hardens, the biscuit manages to soak.
And the butter biscuit is much juicier, the cake pops will be even tastier. I'll try next time.

There shouldn't be any problems with white - either white chocolate or white confectionery glaze is everywhere. True, the shade will be yellowish. If you need snow-white, then either dyes or special discs. Search online stores for Candy Melts from Wilton. They are of all colors of the rainbow.

What if you buy food coloring and add it to the white glaze?

What if you buy food coloring and add it to the white glaze?

You can, only a fat-soluble dye is needed. Either buy a dye for chocolate, or mix the usual gel water-soluble dye with the Flo-Coat additive in a 1: 5 ratio (one part of the dye, five parts of the Flo-Coat) and use this mixture to color the chocolate or glaze.

The girls wrote that they got used to dyeing chocolate with an ordinary water-soluble gel dye, but I can't.
Natatusichek
Moskvichk @ and you did not look at the pastry chef's shop, the girls took dyes ready for chocolate there, and I saw colored icing on sale there.

I haven’t tried the elektropsnitsa, but I tried the form (the report is higher on the page).
My opinion is that it is better to twist with your hands. Faster, juicier.
janka
Thanks for the answer. But I'll probably take some molds for testing (I found metal ones for 18 pieces), I'll try ... later I'll write my opinion

In metal, it will probably be much more convenient to bake and faster - 18 pieces at once. And don't take the silicone for 8 pieces.
Good luck, we are waiting for feedback.

Hello everyone! So I got to this tasty temka! I have long dreamed of making cake pops, but I was afraid or my hands did not reach. And now I have already done them for the second time. The first time was a trial one, for myself and for a visit, I decided to take some tasty things with me. Everyone liked them, and I got the order.
But in the process of work I had such a situation - the cake pops covered with white chocolate icing cracked both times, and the cracks were large, noticeable. And on the dark glaze everything was perfect. can anyone know and tell me why this is happening?
And here they are:
Cake Pops and Cake balls -These cake pops are completely chocolate. Used vanilla biscuit on boiling water with the addition of cocoa, ganache cream and dark chocolate icing. I didn't want to buy special sticks, so I bought not thick straws. I liked doing with them and you can choose different colors.

Cake Pops and Cake balls - And these are completely light, the composition is the same, only I used the cream from the "Raffaello" cake with white chocolate. So they gave very unattractive cracks.

Cake Pops and Cake balls Here, these cracks can be better seen, these were my first cake pops.
Yulkin111
Zoya, I had exactly the same situation. I made pops for the baby on DR - they turned out ideally from dark glaze, and when the covers were white, they cracked right away. At first I suggested that the temperature of the balls themselves and the melted glaze could be different, because I started with white, but when I dipped it in black, there was nothing like that. Unfortunately, I didn't have time to take a photo, the kids walked in circles near the refrigerator and waited for these magical chupa-chups to appear ...
And I also first decided to add oil to the white glaze to make it more fluid, everything curled up into lumps and so she was left to wait for some kind of shock baking so as not to go into the trash can. I think that the problem is in the composition of the glaze itself ... Maybe the girls will tell you something. You can paint beautifully on white glaze ...
zoinka15
I also add oil to the icing. But with dark glaze nothing, but very capricious white.
Yulkin111
Looks like, again, the quality of the glaze rules ... but with melted chocolate it also doesn't work very well ... there is no that fluidity ...

zoinka15

Very beautiful pops! Bright, smart and even. I also did my first ones with straws, they kept well, they bent only under the weight of cake pops, so I also put them on my head.

Whose glaze do you use, in the sense of who is the manufacturer?

Girls, what kind of butter do you add to the glaze - butter?
Yulkin111
I used our Ukrainian glaze, I took it from Lily. Butter was added butter.
And I made pops on thick kebab skewers, broke them in half and they perfectly held a ball weighing 50 g without glaze, I didn't weigh it with glaze, I forgot ... And it was also very convenient to poke them into the styrofoam, and they stood in the refrigerator, draped it she gave it to the children with foil, whoever wanted to take it out.
zoinka15
Thank you very much for the praise!
I also take the icing from our Lily. Therefore, I do not know the manufacturer and brand. need to ask.
My popsiks under their own weight did not bend the tubes, everything stood perfectly in the glasses. Just for the safety of transportation, I turned them over on my head. So I gave it to the customer.
And I add vegetable oil, not butter. I read it somewhere long ago, and I always do it. And from the creamy glaze it becomes even thicker.

Husky
I recently acquired such molds. But I haven't used it yet. Few imagined them different. I thought there were holes in which you could insert a wand. They weren't there.
I bought them in a whisk. RU
Elya_lug
Husky, why just with holes? After all, first they roll the balls, freeze them, and then they stick the stick. And if you make a hole in advance, then I think that the shape will not hold so well.
Husky
So I thought that to put a tight mass in these molds. Close it. Stick a stick through the hole (which is not there) and freeze like that. It seems to me that this way the stick will hold on tightly if you freeze it with it. And most importantly, the mold will hold the mass and will not allow the stick to go left or right.

Girls, I'm going to cook these pops for DR daughters. Tell me, do you need white cake pops, what is the best way to cover it - with ordinary icing (with which we cover the cakes), melted with white chocolate or white chocolate icing?
Elya_lug
Yula13... white chocolate glaze. Regular chocolate does not heat well, and the icing for cakes will not harden enough to hold the "potatoes".
Mouse Mom
I sat for a very long time on this forum, so to speak, "in the bushes." So I decided to go out, and as a cake pop debut))) I made the simplest sponge cake, crème fraiche + butter, covered with pink Dr. Otkins and chocolate, sprinkled with colored coconut. But for some reason the glaze cracked, though not on all pops, and the chocolate was so not elastic and thick that it did not cover evenly, it would be more correct to say I smeared it

here are my first cake pops .... oblique, of course, but what they are.
The balls themselves rolled from scraps of vanilla in boiling water and a gram of yogurt cream.

And I with a report and gratitude
The recipe is cool, but as an idea for disposal of the remnants of the cakes, it's generally gorgeous!
I made a dairy girl and a ferro roscher with ferrero roscher cream, yummy!
BUT. The pink colored white chocolate frosting was too thin (apparently added a lot of cream) ...
I had to drown the dark chocolate in the morning and cover it with another layer with a brush ...glamorous pops did not work out and if you leave the troubles with icing, then a gorgeous addition to the sweet table.
I will do more, there will always be trimming!
Thank you

Varvara, try adding butter. little by little, literally 1 tbsp. l. and in the microwave for 30 sec. I took it out, mixed it, if it's still thick, then add another spoonful of oil and for another 30 seconds.
It shouldn't end up very liquid. But also not pasta
Here maybe it will help you here for clarity
