Liqueur "Rowan red" on cherry leaves and vodka

Ingredients

Rowan berries red

Cooking method

  • Gluttonous birds have not eaten all the mountain ash yet, and cherry leaves are still hanging in the gardens - I recommend making this liqueur!

  • TAKE
  • Red rowan berries - 500 grams fresh (not frozen)
  • Cherry leaves - 110 pieces
  • Water - 1 liter
  • Sugar - 500-700 grams (I did 500 grams - that's enough)
  • Citric acid - 1 tsp
  • Vodka - 500 ml.
  • Pink peppercorns - 1 tsp
  • Star anise - 2 teeth

  • WE DO
  • 1. put berries, leaves in a saucepan, pour water and set to cook over low heat for about 10-15 minutes. Stir constantly, as the leaves do not want to drown in water.
  • 2. leave the mixture to cool until warm, so that all the goodies of the berries and leaves go into the drink.
  • 3. Strain the drink.
  • 4. add sugar, citric acid, vodka, pepper, star anise. Stir to dissolve the sugar.
  • 4. close the jar with a lid and set to ripen. The longer it costs, the tastier it becomes.
  • 5. Strain the finished liquor again and pour into decanters (bottles). I filter it with a watering can, and put a cotton pad inside.

  • My liquor is about a month - delicious !!!!!!!!!!!

  • I recommend it - do it and you won't regret it!
  • You still have time to do it for the New Year's table!

  • Bon appetit, everyone!

And for this liqueur, only rowan is good, or can you replace it with some other berry? I ask because there are no rowan trees, but salivation has already begun to flow. But there are barberry and viburnum in stock.

So the liqueur on cognac arrived ...

The principle of preparation is described in the first post of the recipe, only liqueur was taught on cognac (instead of vodka).
Since the cognac itself is fragrant, star anise and pink pepper were not added to the drink.

The taste is great!
A little stringy, sweet and sour, with the taste of cognac.

It is very close to the taste of the "Rowan on cognac" liqueur, there was such a thing in the recent past!

I did it for a long time (17 years ago Oops ...), I remember that it turned out to be very tasty and aromatic - viscous. And when I added vodka to the leafy berry compote, I immediately got a jelly-like transparent liquid. Then there were thoughts that it was the leaves of the cherry that gave this jelly. I want to repeat. Only now the question is: what if you replace the cherry leaves with currant leaves (cherries are far away, and currants - now I will go out into the street and pick up the remains). And then there the same fresh-frozen fragrant currant? Maybe someone already experimented?

I can't say anything about currants, I didn't. And the best drinks and dishes are obtained after our unexpected experiments in the kitchen - you need to try

How lovely! Do we take any mountain ash? It's just that we only grow bitter.
True, in this year there are no berries at all, the mountain ash did not even bloom ... Actually, the cherry in our country, in principle, does not grow. Well, maybe next year I'll do it in Ryazan.
And this ... And why the photo is not with my favorite lafitnichki ?!

I put 2 cloves (from a large star) with seeds inside. From the shells, too, a gorgeous aroma comes

Natasha, that's the beauty of that red mountain ash Very tasty drink turns out
If desired, cherry leaves can be frozen or dried (like a herbarium) From Ryazan, by sending urgently !!!

Look at the date of the recipe - 2010! Then I didn’t have these lafitnichki
