Honey cake with cream

Ingredients
Cakes:
Flour 4 tbsp.
Sugar 1 tbsp.
Butter 200 g
Eggs 4 pcs.
Honey 4 tbsp. l.
Soda 2 tsp
Cream:
Cream (at least 30% fat) 1 l
Sugar to taste
Vanillin on the tip of a knife
Cooking method

Melt the butter, add eggs and sugar and mix thoroughly until the sugar is completely dissolved. Take as high a saucepan as possible, put honey there and put on very low heat. Heat without boiling. Add baking soda and stir vigorously until brown streaks appear (not very long). Remove from heat. Combine both masses and add flour. Grease a baking sheet, lay out the dough and smooth with your hands. Bake for 5-7 minutes, cook 4 cakes in this way. While the cake is hot, it needs to be cut off the edges, as it cools down, spread with whipped cream with sugar and vanilla, sprinkle with crumbs on top and put in the cold to soak overnight.

I have a similar recipe for a honey cake (the difference is insignificant) and I smear the cakes while they are still warm, soak much faster and can already be eaten after cooling. For the cream I use sour cream of at least 25% fat, but you have to be sure that it is natural milk sour cream without vegetable fats, soy protein and other additives. I found such a manufacturer and when I need to make a cream, I only take his sour cream. Sour cream gives sweet honey cakes a peculiar sourness, which we really like.
