Mahalyabiya Ara asal (pumpkin dessert)

Ingredients

2 cups pumpkin, diced
1/2 glass of water
2 cups milk
1/2 cup liquid honey
3 tbsp. l. starch
vanillin to taste
nuts for decoration

Cooking method

  • Place the diced pumpkin in a saucepan. Pour 1/2 glass of water and simmer until tender.

  • When the pumpkin is ready, place it in a blender and puree. Add milk, honey, vanillin. Beat everything together.

  • Put the mixture in a saucepan and bring to a boil.

  • Dissolve the starch in a little cold water and add to the pumpkin mixture.

  • Cook over low heat, stirring constantly, until the mixture thickens.

  • Pour into dessert glasses, garnish with nuts.

  • Serve chilled. Bon Appetit!

  • My changes:

  • 1. Cooked pumpkin in the oven - quickly and not troublesome.

  • 2. The honey thickened a little, so I didn’t measure it with a glass, but just put 2 tablespoons and it was right. The dessert turned out to be moderately sweet.

  • 3. Stir with a whisk, because when starch is added, the mixture thickens quickly.

Fox, an interesting recipe! How does it taste? vanillin and milk beat off the pumpkin flavor?
lisenok
The taste is something very delicate and light. Vanillin is not heard at all, but the taste of milk and pumpkin is present in equal quantities
I can add only one milk and the pumpkin "makes friends" very harmoniously!

Great recipe, great photography. And most importantly, this dessert is so good that it is not what you can, but it is very useful for everyone. An extremely rare combination of "tasty and healthy"

celfh thanks for the praise. It remains to wait for the one who else will cook and leave a review.
And here is a beautiful photo of "food" for the first time in my life after reading this article.

This weekend has already been planned. And a little later I will try to do it. Already in the bookmarks. If, of course, nothing gets in the way
The link went to look. Thank you!

Little fox! and I came with a report on the preparation of the dessert and a plus sign of course!
It is very tender and delicious!
unfortunately the photo is not as exquisite as that of the owner of the recipe, but it's not my fault! I was in a hurry to cook, I found out about the article about photography only yesterday

Mahalyabiya Ara asal (pumpkin dessert)

I really liked it, I also put a cinnamon stick in the pumpkin-milk mixture itself, and poured one of the vases with chocolate icing - it turned out just magically.
It will be necessary to try with agar - something like mousse should turn out.

And in order to be absolutely useful, it is better to add honey after the dessert has cooled to 40C, then the honey will retain its useful properties.
Sorry, if my remark is not in the cashier.

it is unlikely that it will work - in fact, it is a milk-vegetable jelly, rather thick. And then how to add honey there

Rita all wishes and comments should be taken into account. After adding starch to the mass, it instantly begins to thicken, so I think it will be problematic to add honey there
