Chickpea soup red

Ingredients

Chickpea dry 200 grams
Fresh meat (I have veal brisket) 400-500 grams
Onion 2 pcs.
Carrot 1 PC.
Bell pepper 1 PC.
Garlic 4 cloves
Tomatoes 2-3 pcs.
Tomato paste 2 tbsp. spoons
Potatoes 2 pcs. average
Bitter red pepper 4-6 rings (I used pickled pepper fillets)
Various herbs spices and pepper with coriander 1 tsp
Fresh greens 1-2 tbsp. l
Water 1.75 liters.
Vegetable oil 1 tbsp. l for roasting

Cooking method

  • Chickpea soup red

  • Soak the chickpeas in cold water for 12-15 hours.

  • We drain the water from soaking. Pour fresh water (according to the recipe), set the chickpeas to cook. Cooking time for soaked chickpeas 1-1.5. Therefore, based on this, lay the meat in the chickpeas for cooking.

  • My meat with chickpeas was cooked for about 2 hours, the chickpeas turned out to be well cooked, soft, but not boiled (like peas), remained intact.

  • Cooking the fry.

  • Heat the oil in a frying pan, put the chopped onions, carrots, peppers, tomatoes - simmer for 3-5 minutes.

  • Add tomato paste, hot pepper, spices - simmer for another 3-5 minutes.

  • When the broth with chickpeas and meat is ready, add chopped potatoes, and stewed vegetables, garlic with whole chives. Salt the soup and taste it.

  • At the end of cooking, add chopped parsley.

  • Cook until vegetables are ready, taste, add salt and spices if necessary.

  • All! Chickpea soup is ready!

Nice soup ...I usually cook easier, without pepper and without roasting, on lamb - and that is delicious. By the way, chickpeas will be even softer if you add half a teaspoon of baking soda to the water while soaking.
