Cream cheese squares

Ingredients

Puff pastry 1 package
(2 sheets)
Cream cheese (e.g. Philadelphia) 2 packs
Sugar 1/4 h
Vanilla extract 1 tsp
Margarine
(I used butter)
melt
1/2 tsp
Cinnamon 1 tsp

Cooking method

  • Preheat the oven to t 175 *. Mix cream cheese, sugar and vanilla with a mixer. Unfold 1 sheet of dough and place in a greased dish. Smooth the filling over the entire surface. Cover the top with a 2nd sheet of dough without pressing it (!) And pour with butter. Sprinkle with the sugar mixed with cinnamon and bake in the oven for 25-30 minutes, until the top is crispy and golden brown.

Note

We do not drown. At all. And already frost. Yesterday I specially bought a warm sweater to walk in the apartment. He warms me, but does not warm my soul. Because the house is uncomfortable because of the autumn cold. I can't stand any heating devices and, of course, I don't waste the oven. But there is a way out. Bake. Something not burdensome, and fragrant.
recipe from VitaL with Forum Jazzed Cook

Philadelphia is not for sale in our residential area, Almetta did very well (2x150gr)
And since I absolutely could not understand what kind of measure of the "cup" was, I registered on the forum to read the recipe to the end. Neither the recipe nor the comments say a word about the mysterious measuring cup. Therefore, I did everything by eye.
And maybe that is why my squares are lush and crumbly, and the author's squares turned out to be even and flat. But I hope that they turned out to be no less tasty than those of the author. And yet, I didn't take sugar, but powdered sugar, it was very lazy to get the mixer out. I took 1 multicooker of powdered sugar. This is almost the Maruskin belt of a faceted glass.
What can I say? Delicious squares with Cream cheese!

I really liked the way you prepared the recipe. Did you also embroider a napkin using the cutwork technique yourself?

And fast and tasty, probably very much.

The squares are actually delicious. The husband said, take the plate away, otherwise I'll eat everything
But about embroidery ... I can't sew or embroider. Absolutely. And I bought a napkin in Ivanovo. There are a lot of similar things in different sizes and very cheap

Interestingly I like puff pastry and cream cheese
celfh, I just didn't understand, but don't you roll out the dough at all? ... and what does it mean to "unfold the dough"

I roll out the dough. In length. I also had this question at first. And then I looked at the initial dimensions of the dough and decided to roll it, otherwise there would be nothing to eat.
unwrap the dough? Well, probably get it out of the package. Because the author's dough is clearly not rolled up in a roll.
