I have a Miele trowel. I have not met anyone else, to be honest. I use it constantly when the "season" of the big ironing begins. She is already two years old.

The instructions also indicate how to iron pants, shirts, but I don’t iron such things in it, in my opinion some kind of garbage turns out, because it still smoothes out the folds. I run through it all the bedding (and we have three beds), towels, T-shirts, panties, T-shirts, baby blankets. This is really a lot, especially if you haven't ironed for a long time. In the house, children and washing (especially in summer) and clean non-ironed linen are generally heaps of, because you change clothes every day. For everything else, there is a regular ironing board and a regular iron. She's with a steamer.

The only thing, however, is a trowel for those who have a separate utility room. Because the unit is rather big, non-separable, albeit very presentable in appearance. In an ordinary apartment, standard in size, she definitely does not belong.
Boo Boo
I have an old Kalinka ironing machine. You correctly wrote that it is convenient to iron only things of the correct shape on it. It is very convenient when the children are small, although I did not swaddle the second child, so I almost never used it. I don’t iron bed linen, so it’s lying around idle on the mezzanine.
Ellka
I also have an ancient "Kalinka", I iron straight things - bed linen, towels, etc. I am satisfied with the quality of ironing. It is certainly not Miele, but it is also convenient to use if it is possible to install it permanently. I have it on the dresser under the hood

I advise you to look at the Swiss ironing system Laurastar Magic-S5. Of course it's worth the money, but it's WORTH IT. The wife has been using it since August, if I say that she is delighted, then this delight is indescribable
Nastasya
About Laurastar. If you decide to buy, look for an opportunity to buy in Germany. Believe me, the savings are significant. The only thing you need to be confused about the delivery. If necessary, I can drop a link to the store where I bought.

At one time I spent more than one hour studying all kinds of ironing things. Came across Philips GC9920.

Both shirts are ironed and the ironing system is gorgeous. So pay attention to it.

Buy a better classy ironing system, it consists of a board with the functions of surface heating, blowing, steam suction and a steam generator with a professional iron and will cost less.
puel, was the thought of smooth. system, but according to the reviews of a friend, her friend had such a system, but over time the wallpaper departed from a large volume of steam, and mold appeared just above it (this system), and indeed the place takes a lot (better a separate room, of course for her, which I don't have). And then I kind of folded it, and rolled it into a corner (as I understand it)
volvox
And I have had Laurastar for four years now, there is no mold, the wallpaper does not move away, it broke twice and it is a very heavy board, it is not possible to remove it every time, and it stands all the time in the unfolded state.
Chantal
thanks for the information

I have, though not a Laurastar, but also a large board and it is always torment to put and remove it, but where to select a corner so that it stands without prejudice to aesthetics - until I came up with
volvox
I have a LAURASTAR, I am very happy with ironing, and I roll a large duvet cover four times, I cannot compare it with a regular iron, it takes a lot of space and is very heavy, but ... today it broke for the third time (I have no luck with the technique ). The last time I handed it over for repair was about a year ago and it was repaired for three months, because there were no spare parts, and I paid 13,000 rubles for this repair, and now again ... I'm terrified. All in all, this ironing system is like a suitcase without handles.
drying
Good day, girls (well, boys, although it is unlikely that the topic is spisphic-he-he), I'll start with the fact that I love ironing, but my old dream is an ironing system with blowing and suction and many other "delights" in the beginning, I could not persuade my husband - it was not cheap and there was nowhere to put it, now I can say I broke it and .... I have a problem of choice ... A system "Philips GC 9920" appeared (at least recently in our stores), so compact and beautiful and like "phillips" irons are not bad, I can not find reviews on it, can anyone have it? I often read reviews about "Laura Star", I can order on the Internet and cheaper than it will come out in Russia, but we have only one tiny company that sells them, it's scary to find out the price - they obviously break, and with a guarantee if there are any problems, I think so ... In general, I am at a loss what to choose, owners, tell the poor dreamer ...
lega
Drying! I have been LAURA STAR for six years. These ironing systems are available in different versions. I have MAGIC EVOLUTION II Now they don't seem to be released. I can say about mine that highly happy. During all this time, I only once contacted the seller at the very beginning - he is a service. The button on the iron did not always work. Came, looked and fixed it. He said that apparently during transportation, the contact weakened. Since then, I have not had any problems. But I read on the forum that some girl was not so lucky. I can't advise you to buy exactly LAURA STAR, because I haven't tried others in my work. The price of LAUR STAR is OF course high and I cannot judge how justified it is. The weight of the machine, in my opinion, is 13 kg. It is better to keep it in a permanent place, but I do not have an economic rooms, so I drag it out of the cabinet. I'm scrambling more, I'll bring the typewriter and quickly iron everything. Ironing on it is a pleasure. In addition, the steam is emitted in a powerful jet. I steam all outer clothing before cleaning for long-term storage. Ironing trousers with arrows is a fairy tale. I'm steaming the jackets. I will process the fur. It is great to give the lost shape to knitwear. In short, if there is an opportunity to purchase, then this is a class! But what is on the market now I am behind the times.
drying
lega , thank you very much for sharing your experience, I know that "Laura Star" is a very good company, they praise it on the Internet and I PER it, if we sold it at least in stores, BUT it is sold from resellers in a single company or website, the question of the "if anything" guarantee will be acute, so I think, but Philips is in the markets, but we will buy in website in England or Germany, but not in Lithuania, our prices are full ... the compactness, the presence of a device for vertical steaming and the fact that there is a guarantee ... Ehhh if only current to touch the steam - burns or dry - but in stores they just stand, do not allow stroking on them ...
lega
Drying! we do not sell LAURA STAR in stores. There are demonstrators in the shops. When I saw this car, I just fell in love with it. And I even wanted to go to work as a demonstrator. I didn't need money, I just wanted to keep myself busy. I went there and met the owner of the company. I stood with her for half a day in the trading floor, but realized that this was not mine. It's very hard to stand up and talk all day. I bought myself a car, but did not go to work.
I was also given a guarantee for a year. And the master came for free. There is vertical steaming in LAURE. The vertical bar depends on the steam pressure. In my -3.5 atm. The steam is called dry - the temperature is 160 degrees. If you send a stream of steam to your hand or even directly to your face, you will not get burned, because it dissipates. Therefore, they can process fur and wool from a distance of 10 cm. But if you iron with steam on the blower and a small gap forms somewhere, then it is there that it is very hot. Also, when I steam the costumes, if you stick your hand in the sleeve, then there is a closed space and you can easily get burned. To steam coats and suits, I started up a hanger-rack, because there are not enough hands and a thing to hold and an iron and to straighten something. Personally, I have never been burned. And the hostess told me (she often replaces her sick employees) that she happened to get burned.
drying
And we do not even have demonstrators, there are "East Komovtsy" who lure people with lotteries, we got to them with my husband, but thank God we did not buy it - the price is exorbitant, and even there is no elementary blowing, the Italian system, but I am satisfied, that she attended the presentation - at least my husband saw everything with his own eyes and got sick with a steam generator for cleaning the house, so I bought an inexpensive one ...
I would have bought "Laura Star" with pleasure if I knew for sure that if something goes wrong with her I can contact the repair shop, I just had an experience with my bread maker, which we bought in the internet in Germany - a screw flew off, do not send it to Germany, the husband repaired it himself, since he is friends with the mechanics, but here is a more expensive thing, if there are problems, where to run?
I would check "Phillips" for steam burning and generally iron the cotton fabric in general, I would know everything works super in "Laura Star", the current is heavy, but there is nowhere to keep it unfolded ...
lega
I think "burning with steam" is the same everywhere, because this is physics - it does not depend on the company. The main thing is to find out the temperature of the steam, then it will be clear whether it is "dry" or not, and the steam pressure. And to have a silicone "galoshes" on the sole of the iron to iron directly on the fabric.

Tronik, this is how I clean the fur, under the action of steam, the dirt is loosened and easily removed with a brush. Moths start mostly in dirty fur. Only with fur you need to be careful. Do not shorten the distance less than 10 cm, otherwise the skin may be damaged. Fur spreads very well if it has been stored for a long time in a jam-packed closet. Or you got caught in the rain and got icicles. One day a friend's daughter came to me with her sheepskin coat. She had long, curly fur on her collar and cuffs that got dirty and tangled. By steam brushing and brushing, it became clean but straight. Then I had to spray it with water and process it with "wet" steam so that it curled up. And with knitwear it is very easy, if a woolen sweater, for example, hooked, can be easily stretched with steam. And if the elastic bands are stretched, then you can pick them up. A friend washed her husband's sweater and the sweater changed shape from improper drying. Became wide and short. So, with the help of LAURA, the shape of the sweater returned. If you have any questions, ask.

The demonstrator showed me about the clothes that sat down after washing, yes.
I understood about the fur, thanks. About fur from the closet is relevant at the beginning of the winter season, I'll take a note.
It is very interesting that you spoke about your intention to work as a demonstrator :) I love people who can go to work just for fun :)
I have a friend, the CEO wants to work as a refueller

I also forgot to tell that with the advent of Laura, I practically stopped using dry cleaning. I wash my jackets myself and then iron them using this system. It is not very easy, but possible. Drape and velor, felt, and woolen things are also perfectly cleaned. Plus, they are disinfected. When steaming, the villi are lifted and dirt is easily brushed off. Especially good for collars, elbows and jacket pockets. In principle, this is probably possible with any steam generator. I personally have not worked with others, so I cannot say for sure.

your phillips is cooler than my laura and more comfortable. It's up to you, of course. I would love to buy such a machine. Moreover, if with a guarantee. It’s easier to carry it with wheels.

Yes, I also decided to buy "Phillips" after watching the video and reading the comparison with "Laura Star" .... Now I'm looking for the best price ... I found it in Germany, inexpensively, but they send current to Germany and several other countries - Lithuania to their the number is not included, but I don’t want to take a higher price, it’s better to overpay 10 percent and buy in Lithuania on the Internet probably ... How dare I write, if interested)))

Anyone who is interested - I bought my car, I have been ironing for two days without leaving the machine, what can I say? Super!!! First and foremost, the quality of ironing surpassed all my expectations, everything is so high quality and quickly ironed T-shirts - you can iron on one side - the second is ironed with a bang, thick terry towels in 4-6 layers, bedding I don't remember how many layers , but a lot, my husband's shirts, trousers with folds (y) and vashsche, Folds awesomely simple and compact, the iron and vertical steamer folds into the system immediately without cooling In general, I'm happy, I bought it through friends in an online store in Germany, then they sent us by mail, thank God, the device arrived safe and sound, from my husband I received the task to use it very often the first time - to check for strength, so to speak - we do not throw the box away (you never know what),in addition, our youngest AAA founded her house in it, we bought it in an internet store for less than 800 (780 approximately) euros + mail 50 euros, but in any case it is cheaper than in the store

Drying! URAaaaaaa! Congratulations! Our regiment has arrived. The first days I did not leave this toy either. Now it’s just too lazy to get it. But the quality of ironing is really quite different. Our sellers call such machines "Mercedes steam ironing" and in their own way are right that they are not Zhiguli for sure.

I think what to choose: Laura is old or Janselit. I'm more inclined to Italy, especially since Laura has had a lot of bad reviews lately: (Tell me who has Janselit, how is she at work, in reliability?
Tronic
Girls, I have broken Janselit.

Maybe it will help someone when choosing a steam system.
The temperature adjustment wheel fell off.

So even for that kind of money, the quality is lame.

While I'm looking for where to repair it, I'll buy a cheap analogue of some kind, just an iron with a steam generator, without a board.
Then I'll tell you about the comparison of cheap and expensive, if hands reach.
Zhanik
And I have this thing for almost a year. Steam generator with iron Battistella VAPORINO INOX MAXI
(Italy)
When I bought it for a long time. And the seller in the online store advised this particular option. He immediately warned that it may not be very pretty, but it is almost a semi-professional thing. From the pluses-Stainless steel boiler 3.2l. Safety valve Steam-electric iron 1.8kg. Working pressure 2.5-3 Bar. Steam quantity regulator, manometer. Autonomy of work 3 hours.
And the BATTISTELLA T 220 P board
has the functions of heating the working surface, vacuum and pressurization. I love. Before that, ironing was torture. And now it's not a problem at all. The gabel blanket, brought from the dacha, ironed after washing, folded several times
Taia
These steam generators are great. Sold in various types and modifications. In principle, you can do without such a fancy ironing board, and a regular one will do. Much better than a regular steam iron. Having tried to iron things with a steam generator, I will never buy an ordinary iron again. Even the cheapest version of such a steam generator is better than the most expensive iron.
zalina74
And Laura Star settled with me - Magic-s4. Well, no words ... Ironing is easy and pleasant. A powerful jet of steam, and constantly, as much as you want. Teflon pad - no ironing required! The iron is very neat in appearance, the rounded teardrop shape - less jams. By the way, there are wheels, it is easy to transport. Folds compactly. by the way, there is a "garage" for the iron - very convenient - you can even clean the hot one. Water can be topped up without turning off the unit - this is very important - no need to wait until it is ready for operation again.
Well, these are first impressions. Let's see how she behaves further ...

LgaThanks for the advice on steaming fur and knitwear.

P.S. the price is prohibitive, of course.

You just have to devour! Considering solid cooking appliances! You are some wrong deivasaholics! ! I used it today. It's just something! When ironing shirts, the board inflates, and all the folds are smoothed out, so you wave an iron without hesitation and stretching the folds. Bed linen ironing all 4 layers at once! The trousers can be ironed without any Teflon linings - nothing glitters, neither the seams nor the inner pockets from ironing begin to show through! The jeans can be folded in half and ironed on all 4 layers! Just a dream! True, it's worth ....

Nastasya, and how much did it cost in Germany?
Lga, yours is twice as expensive as the one to which I gave the link.
Oh, I don't remember. It was 2 years ago. But 30 thousand is cheaper than in Russia (and this is provided that there was no tax discount, since the delivery was to an EU country).
And in terms of cost, both ironing systems (on the first and second links) were about the same. I chose Laurustar, because I saw it in work and found many reviews, while I did not hear anything about the second option.
The only drawback of this thing is that it is heavy and it is constantly difficult to clean it. I have it collected in the corner of the nursery. The place takes.
But I do not regret a second.

lega,
the one I wrote about, we have the cheapest 1100 euros. In more expensive models, a lightweight iron, steam is supplied automatically, and the cord is pulled in, like a vacuum cleaner. But I see no point in spending another 100-300 euros on these gadgets.

Hello!
I am planning to purchase an ironing system. How is your operation? And if there is some kind of breakdown, then who should you contact for warranty repair in case of a purchase in in. the state through the Internet? Or repair at your own expense? If I understood correctly, the model you purchased has already been discontinued, I wonder if there are any design flaws or new improvements?
Thanks in advance for your comments and response.

The ironing system is always good. I just read and watched the video.I liked the car, and its price is now attractive. If you need and can afford it, then you can buy. I have Laura, I'm happy. Well, if the money is a pity, then it is quite possible to get by with a decent steam station and an active ironing board.

Because you will have to wave the steamer. And I have 4 beds (my husband and I and three children). I drove the entire sheet into the ironer into four folded sheets and that's it. So it is with duvet covers, and with bath towels, etc.

Well, if you think so, exactly from the point of view of income?
I know girls who are invited to clean once a week (I have it every day)
payment of 1500 per exit includes washing, ironing, cleaning, washing windows, and cooking - if you agree
-52 weeks in a year - 78 thousand is a completely acceptable amount, but you live like a person, working with a steam generator / ch. a car is also a job, but of course if these services are too heavy for someone, then of course then Ch. the car is the way out.

I have a cleaning man hired. But entrusting the ironing of our things to a stranger is a taboo for me. These are my personal glitches. In general, I can hardly stand strangers in the house (even on the site!). I iron my own linen, my husband, my children. I cook myself too. Moreover, finding a person who cooks at the same level as me (immodest, of course, but a fact) is not so easy. These are some very "intimate" things for me. Therefore, I do not want and will not entrust them to someone. I seem to manage and have time, but of course, with the help of technical advances, such as a trowel, I try to make my life easier.

In general, hiring people is not as simple as you described. And it's not about the money at all. We practically do not have these people, we do not have Moscow or even a regional city. This market is undeveloped. For example, I've been trying for two months to find a nanny for a child. I don’t choose, I don’t look and I don’t like everyone, but I’m just trying to find this very nanny first! Secondly, bringing various strangers into the house is not at all part of my plans. Our city is small, then on every bench they will discuss what kind of burzhuinka I am snickering))). For 8 years the same person has been working for me, whom they have been looking for for a long time and persistently. If she leaves or refuses - and I don't know what I will do. Thirdly, I have two hefty dogs, who know the current woman and grew up with her, but no longer know anyone and how to introduce a person into the house is not clear. There is nowhere to close them, there is not a single door on the entire first floor))). Only in the toilet if. I will not trust the keys to anyone, it makes no sense: anyone who entered without me will simply be eaten for breakfast))). And to sit as an overseer - nafig. I work at this time. So .. Sometimes it's really easier to do something on your own than trying to find the answer in a problem with so many "unknowns".
Matroskina
8 years old - you are very lucky !!!!!
I have no one withstands more than a year (I am a vile exploiter)
hiring staff is not easy, but for me it's worth it, in the opinion of others - ...
Yes, I am considered a burzhuinka and a little bit of a lazy person))) Well, in general, your post is clear and reasonable, I really know a lot of people with such an attitude like you. I hadn't thought about that. Thanks for clarifying. And dogs are tough, take care of your "Uzbek". Good luck to you.
PS, by the way, I bought myself a sauber pro steamer for light silk fabrics that I cannot trust, they have been hanging for a week, even now you can go and "stroke" but not hunt, tomorrow I will probably control the process of the housekeeper, spoil it from the s. deduct fees))))
but I have more time for children, husband and myself
