Saxon potato soup

Ingredients

Potatoes 750 g
Water 2 l
Onion 60 g
Caraway 10 g
Celery root 5 g
Pork fat 50 g
Parsley and celery taste
Ground black pepper taste
Salt taste

Cooking method

  • Peel and boil the potatoes. Pour the broth into a separate bowl. Mash hot potatoes with salt, pepper, finely chopped onions, caraway seeds and grated celery root. Pour over hot potato broth, mix well, bring to a boil and add diced and fried bacon. When serving, sprinkle the soup with finely chopped herbs.
