Pan-stewed pasta

In vegetable oil, fry the onions and carrots until light golden, add dry pasta (any) to the frying, stirring continuously, fry everything together so that the paste is "enveloped" in oil, pour boiling water (not cool! It will splash a lot!) A little higher level of pasta, add salt and seasonings (garlic is required) and simmer under a lid over low heat until cooked and the water evaporates. Water can be topped up if necessary. If there is a tasty gravy left from yesterday's dinner, boil it and pour in first.

Sеrn, I have a few pieces of chicken left over from yesterday's dinner with some delicious sour cream gravy. I want to make pasta out of this in a skillet. Did I understand correctly that dry pasta must first be fried with onions and carrots, and then filled with gravy with meat and other goodies?

Stella, thank you very much for the recipes and work on their "delivery" to the masses! Yesterday I cooked dinner ... From the previous one there were chicken breasts, I needed a side dish. Out of habit, I grated carrots, cut onions ... I thought about making rice (such a pseudo-float), but remembered in time that real pilaf had just been eaten. What to do? And then a recipe for stewed pasta came to mind. It was a salvation. I, of course, guessed that it was delicious, but so that t-a-a-ak! I didn't have time to take a picture ... Stеrn, today I prepared pasta according to your recipe. I liked it very much - it was convenient, tasty, without problems and a minimum of dishes, which I had to wash later. I, however, did not find a suitable lid size - I cooked in a new large frying pan, but nevertheless, everything worked out.
