I met two reviews on the Internet:

Marina

Experience of use: 1 month
Model modification: 637
Advantages:
all in one and a yogurt maker and an ice cream maker - in principle, it bribed me, although I was only looking for a yogurt maker, I can not say that the ice cream maker turned out to be superfluous ... especially by the summer.
Disadvantages:
plastic bucket for yogurt, I think glass is better
Comment:
I use it for 1.5 months.
I am satisfied with kefir and fermented baked milk, which are VERY tasty (with the addition of live bacteria, without effort the first time)
The yogurt turns out to be liquidish, I did it with the addition of the purchased danon yogurt, and on the basis of starter cultures with the addition of blueberries (the recipe needs to be finalized)
how the yoghurt maker works - silently
Although January, I have already used the ICE CROWN 3 times-mediocre, it seems to me that it does not freeze very well, I freeze it in the freezer.
Crystals are obtained in ice cream (like frozen water)
It is better to keep the container for ice cream in the freezer, before cooking, not 12 hours, as recommended, but 24 hours.
how the ice cream maker works - it is noisy, and my "limps" to one side
I give kefirs, fermented baked milk, yoghurts and ice cream to a child 1 year 4 months

Experience of use: 2 days
Model modification: 637
Advantages:
compact. nice design.
Disadvantages:
The main drawback is that the bowl does not freeze at all even after 24 hours in the freezer. It's so offensive, because it was bought more like an ice cream maker.
Comment:
It would be a perfect buy if the manufacturers improved the model. Unfortunately I do not recommend it.

Maybe this is rather the main drawback of the freezer?

Faithful, +1, I ran the exact same thoughts while reading these reviews .. but did not write, I thought once two of them freeze badly, maybe I really don’t know a shitty saucepan .. I don’t want to press the brakes, I’ve talked today, I haven’t bought it yet this ice cream maker, so I would like this one and so that she does not disappoint, damn it
Yes, even the first one writes that it is working noisily and has re-isolated the mixer or something that does not work at all.
Gypsy
Well, I don’t know .. the guy showed the process - it is quite normal, noisy of course, it is better to put it on the balcony, or, as one American wrote, in the garage

alex123qwe1 - 03/31/2010 - Cooking desserts, sorbets and ice cream in the Ariete 637 ice cream maker (as well as in any other) consists in adding the prepared mass to a chilled container in which the mass is frozen by constantly stirring the mixer or rotating the container itself around the mixer (as in Ariete 637), that is return of cold by the wall of the cooled container to the prepared composition with constant stirring. Sorbets differ from ice cream in the obligatory presence of frozen fruits, fruit puree and sugar syrup in their composition.
ATTENTION !!! If the ice cream, dessert, or sorbet contains raw eggs, it should not be given to children, pregnant women, or the elderly. In this case, cooking takes longer, since you have to heat-treat the food.Without heat treatment, a simple recipe takes little time to prepare: beat 4 egg yolks with a mixer (blender), add 100 gr. sugar, a little vanilla, 250 gr. cream (I use skimmed milk when boiling homemade milk for making yoghurts), 150-250 ml. milk - all this is added with stirring. I take out the ice cream container from the freezer, where it has been cooled for at least 8 hours (it is, in principle, stored in the freezer. After cooking, I put the ice cream out, quickly rinsed it, wiped it and back into the freezer), install it on the drive, insert the mixer into the transparent lid, set it on drive (in this case, the mixer is in the middle of the cooled ice cream container), I turn it on and, with the container rotating through the hole at the top, pour the mixture into the container, then close it with a plug and leave the drive turned on for 20-35 minutes. Remember that the mixture increases in volume during the preparation process, this must be taken into account when preparing. The higher the percentage of fat in ice cream (cream and milk give it), the tastier it will be and the more fluffy the mixture will be for cooking. If the prepared composition is poured with the drive turned off, the mixture will instantly freeze to the wall of the cooling tank and, when turned on, may break the mixer. In 5 min. until the end through the upper hole (with the mixer turned on) you can add nuts, chocolate, etc. After 20-40 minutes, turn off the drive, put soft ice cream out of the container (like from a freezer, only tastier, with an excellent creamy taste). If we want thicker, we transfer the resulting ice cream to the freezer for
thickening.

cottage cheese
🔗
alex123qwe1 - 03/31/2010 - Making homemade cottage cheese is easy. Easier than yogurt. The bucket of the yogurt maker contains 1.2 liters of milk from which 250 - 280 g is obtained. cottage cheese - the rest is whey. Depending on the milk, it may be slightly more or less. The preparation is very simple: I pour milk into a bucket through a strainer to exclude lumps or froth, close it with a lid, put the bucket in a yogurt maker, and close it with a transparent lid. I turn it on (you can turn it on in advance so that it warms up sooner). After 9-10 hours, drain the serum through cheesecloth (filter) and put it in the refrigerator. The remains of the whey drain (you can squeeze it out - the curd will be "drier"), after an hour or two or later I spread the curd. Usually I put it in the evening, in the morning I poured the whey, put it in the refrigerator, while I walked around the apartment before work - the cottage cheese is ready for breakfast. You can add yogurt to milk before cooking, then the cottage cheese will look more like a cheese mass. As you can see, the difference between the preparation of cottage cheese and yogurt is insignificant. Differs I do not need to put yogurt in milk and take longer. The taste of the curd exceeds the expectation from its preparation.
RybkA
Explain HOW is yogurt made there?
Do you need to cool the bucket or what? And that 6 hours it will twist / twirl?
Gypsy
the unit has two functions:
The first make ice cream, while the frozen container is spinning, the mixer is in place.
The second: yogurt, there is a plastic bucket for it with a lid, milk + bacteria or yogurt is poured into this bucket and the unit heats the bucket for a certain amount of time (for example, all night).
There is a switch on the body (see photo above), either yogurt or ice cream. The unit either turns or heats up, one of two

The main drawback is that the bowl does not freeze at all even after 24 hours in the freezer. So it's a shame, because she was bought more like an ice cream maker

I have such an ice cream maker. I bought it more than half a year ago. I like. I don't make ice cream that often. I haven't made yoghurt yet.
About freezing, I disagree with the reviews. I will explain in more detail. The instructions say that in the container after 30 minutes, soft ice cream is obtained. The starting ingredients must be cold. For the consistency to be dense, you need to transfer the ice cream to the freezer.

Boys and girls from Ukraine, did you have a rumor somewhere about the harmfulness of this model Ariet? The one who ordered this ice cream maker today said that he called the store, asked if it was possible to buy Ariet 637, and he was told that the entire batch of ice cream makers had been sent to Italy, as they discovered the harmfulness of plastic

Why were they sent to Italy? This ice cream maker is harvested in China. Will it be remade in Italy?

As for the plastic, I want to say that all Ariete devices have a very high quality. I have a lot of devices from this manufacturer and I am very happy, the white color does not turn yellow at all.

"Don't believe your eyes ..."

And what can be of bad quality? If only a yogurt bucket? Ice cream container made of metal, it looks like aluminum.
And then, think for yourself, how will they return all this? This is customs and other delights. In Italy, as I understand it, their main office is located. And what will they do there with these ice cream makers? They should be returned back to the factory, not to the office.
Gypsy
Yana, did you buy yours in Moscow?

I don't like to heat plastic; instead of a bucket for yogurt I intended to use a glass jar. Yana, do you think this is technically possible?
Yana
Gypsy, yes, I bought my ice cream maker in a Moscow online store.

I think that it is possible, since the bucket is large, the can will fit there.

So. Hear here about Ariette 637 - in Odessa (I will look for an online store of varnishes -Daki I will look for a link) - they said that this product did not pass certification and the whole batch was rejected, they will be removed from the site (I called yesterday, they had a day off. But they kindly answered me to all questions) The metal of the bucket turned out to be of poor quality, and before that they said that plastic was harmful. In the direction of the whole Ariette they were told not to look. Well ... that's the way it is.
slowed down, in the 10th post the gypsy dada a link to this store, there are many phones, who are interested, you can call them again to try. Well, I think there is no point in hiding something from us or distorting the facts.

GalinkaMalinka, I have not put yogurt yet. And so far I made ice cream on one cycle. It cooks well. But maybe because I take frozen berries. There, the instructions say that it is better to take the ingredients chilled so that the ice cream turns out quickly.
Galinka-Malinka
but I haven't done it with berries yet (I don't want to buy in the store) but on the market so far there are only imported ones - golden ones. I made ice cream with a banana, I am not into it ...

Qween
Svetik_, Congratulations .
I just did not understand one point:
you planned to freeze the ice cream bowl, then make ice cream in it, and then (in the same bowl) put it in the freezer?

And further:
how will you freeze the bowl if it doesn't go into the freezer?

Girls, tell me, am I right that the bowl should be frozen only in an upright position, that is, "standing"? It seems to me that it was written somewhere, but I don't remember where it was. Maybe in the instructions ...
Ksusha
Hostess girls! In the light of recent reports, please measure the height of the bowl in Ariet 637. Otherwise, I aimed at it after the holiday weekend, and now doubts have appeared

Girls ... in general, I report ............ for put the ice cream maker in the freezer, initially removed the shelf. and then put it on, she really doesn’t get it, but she doesn’t come out calmly, in short, I’ll take the shelf back and forth. And who is easy ???

Yes, the bowl needs to be frozen "standing", because there are double walls with cooling liquid. If you pump, the liquid will not be distributed correctly.

Girls, advise, buy an ARIETE 637 ice cream maker or is it better to look for another model? There are no ice cream makers in stores at all, only if you order in an Internet store with delivery in Russia. Only one 637 model appeared in a grocery supermarket at a price of 1399 rubles.
I wanted to buy a nozzle for KM Kenwood 020, but nowhere can I find it in stock. Maybe someone can give a comparison between two ice cream makers (the result of a prepared ice cream). I would appreciate that.
izvarina.d
panteracat, I bought ARIETE 637 this Saturday, although I purposefully went to buy just a yogurt maker. And I did the right thing by buying a 2-in-1. I have already prepared yogurt starter in it, vanilla ice cream - speed, ease of preparation and taste + consistency - everything is fine. Now I put the yogurt. Tomorrow everything will be completely clear about this unit, although there is no doubt that the yogurt will work. I did not use any other ice cream makers. But the yogurt maker Tefal, which managed to overheat the milk, was sent to the closet. My personal opinion is yes! You can buy. Good luck.

Hello))) I also bought a yoghurt ice cream maker about two weeks ago. And I made ice cream, only it didn't work out very well with ice crystals (((((I think maybe I'm not doing something right ..... can you tell me a good and complete recipe for making ice cream (it is advisable to describe all the nuances). Thank you in advance) !!!!
izvarina.d
miami23, hello. This is the recipe with which I began to master this device: "Vanilla ice cream"

100 grams of sugar
1 bag of vanilla sugar
4 raw yolks
250 ml full fat milk
250 ml cream (I take homemade separator)
1 small pinch of salt

Beat the yolks with salt, sugar + vanilla until the volume increases by 2-3 times;
bring cream and milk to a boil, but do not boil;
add the creamy milk mixture in a thin stream (hot) into the whipped yolks and mix well (it is better to do this with a whisk);
we put the resulting mass on a small fire, constantly stirring, bring to a boil (until the first bubbles appear);
as soon as the mass thickens, remove from heat and stir continuously for another 2-3 minutes;
we cool. The colder the mass, the better.

Further - we follow the instructions.

miami23
Oh thank you))) I'll definitely try soon !!!

The bucket is made of polypropylene - PP

Polypropylene is a polymer of propylene (propene).

Application

Material for the production of films (especially packaging), bags, condoms, containers, pipes, parts of technical equipment, household items, nonwovens, etc.; electrical insulating material, in construction for vibration and noise insulation of interfloor ceilings in floating floor systems. In the copolymerization of propylene with ethylene, non-crystallizing copolymers are obtained, which exhibit rubber properties, characterized by increased chemical resistance and resistance to aging.

Thermophysical properties

Polypropylene has a higher melting point than polyethylene and a correspondingly higher decomposition temperature. Pure isotactic polypropylene melts at 176 ° C. The maximum operating temperature for polypropylene is 120–140 ° C.All polypropylene products can withstand boiling and can be steam sterilized without any change in their shape or mechanical properties.

Exceeding polyethylene in terms of heat resistance, polypropylene is inferior to it in terms of frost resistance. Its brittleness temperature (frost resistance) ranges from -5 to -15 ° C.

That, in fact, is all.

Good luck .
Gypsy
My husband told me polypropylene is a good material, bactericidal, but the Chinese can mix anything, a seemingly simple person will not determine anything. Only expertise.
XJIEbyIIIEK
you said correctly

Well, if there is no trust at all, I think you can look for a glass form similar to the one in the kit.

it's just a jar (look at the beginning of the topic for pictures and video), you can replace it with another suitable jar.
There cannot be a stirrer in it, read somewhere how yogurt is made.

and if you do not have one, then you might think that there is a stirrer in it, or it is specially fixed or something else, there are many options.

thanks for the answer.

XJIEbyIIIEK, I tell you how I do it: I prepare yoghurt starter in a 0.5 l jar, immersed in a yogurt bucket, and fill the space between the jar and the bucket with warm water. I pre-sterilize the jar.
I make yoghurt directly in a bucket, then transfer it to a sterilized jar and send it to the refrigerator for ripening.

Nobody knows by chance where you can buy this ice cream maker-yogurt maker in St. Petersburg at an adequate price? I saw a couple of weeks ago in the Media Market for 1800, but now, as I matured to buy it, it is already there at around 2700
Morozko
Maybe someone came up with what jars or containers you can replace this bucket with? Write! We often use it as a yogurt maker, the yogurt turns out to be wonderful, only this plastic confuses
Gypsy
take a bucket to the store and pick up a glass jar of the same size, and that's all
Morozko
Only in this glass jar the bottom should be concave (there is a screw for an ice cream maker in the middle), and I have not seen such in any store!
Gypsy
you can put a rim-stand under a cardboard jar, rags, etc.
