People, but if the fondue is porcelain - probably, the cheese in it can initially be melted in a micron? And then to maintain the desired temperature with an alcohol candle?

You can melt it, but a spirit lamp-candle will not work to maintain the temperature of the cheese - it is too weak and the cheese will quickly solidify in a melted state. In general, porcelain is for chocolate fondue.

Well, I understand that this is an amateur thing. In my family, she would not have taken root. We eat like in the army in the heat of the heat sat down in 5 minutes swept away everything and left.
I can imagine my husband's eyes .... he comes home from work and I tell him everything is raw in bowls and say "You fry yourself" Nooo, we are not unambiguous. This forum has already spurred me to a lot, but this thing did not get infected, this is for an amateur who cares about the process, and we pounced on like ducks

But I would not be in a hurry to classify this device as useful ... But it was funny to play around, definitely!
So this device, as well as a fondue cabinet, is intended to "play" the Type, to gather a small collectivist of pleasant friends for a fondue or not a rake, where at the table, while everyone chooses for himself what to fry and where to dip have a leisurely conversation

A porcelain fondue dish is not very suitable even for chocolate, there is not enough flame from a candle to warm it up properly, I know from my own experience, because I bought myself such a toy.

And for cheese fondue, porcelain fondue for this very reason, all the more will not work. True, according to the recipe for cheese fondue, first all the ingredients for the fondue are mixed in an ordinary saucepan (there is not only cheese there), brought to a boil, and only then it is poured into the container of the fondue.

Then it is worthwhile to study chocolate fondue recipes on the Internet: perhaps something should be added there, butter, milk, or something else. Water, schnapps, starch are added to the cheese ...
Once I came across a special chocolate for fondue, it was already in a ceramic mold and easily melted on a candle.

Hairpin, this is for you: you need to add ingredients other than cheese to the cheese fondue. In addition, cheese fondue is recommended to be made from three types of cheese, obviously not melted
About chocolate fondue, this is what it says:
3. Chocolate fondue - a combination of melted chocolate, cream, and sometimes liqueur, in which pieces of fruit or cake are dipped.
