Cooking method

  • I cook everything in one small saucepan with a thick bottom. Cut the bacon into strips, fry without oil until a pleasant golden color. Remove the bacon onto a plate, leaving the melted fat in the saucepan. Add butter, thinly chopped onions and garlic to it. Fry until transparent, add flour, stirring constantly. Darken for 5 minutes. Pour in milk mixed with water 50/50. When it starts to boil, add thinly sliced ​​potatoes. The slices should be very thin. For these purposes, the Giant shredder is ideal. Season with salt and pepper. Simmer on low heat until the potatoes are cooked. Add bacon and half of the grated cheese, stir.
