Pressure cooker Vitesse vs-523. The program shutdown signal does not work.

Hello. The problem is this. We presented a Vitesse pressure cooker, studied the instructions. Questions arose while exploring trial recipe options.
1. The program shutdown signal does not sound about the completion of work as indicated in the instructions. Tried at the simplest, Porridge and Vegetables. The porridge took longer to cook than in a saucepan, and there was no signal to end the program. Also when cooking potatoes. They waited, waited, and did not wait. They turned it off themselves. Everything was cooked, but there was no signal. Why?
2. Valve. How correctly it should be turned if, when cooking, a little steam came out of it from above and there were gurgles. The valve was turned according to the instructions, although the description there is rather vague and the drawing is incomprehensible.
We were looking for a video, the same thing, nothing is clear. Either purely advertising, or boo-boo-boo and everything is from afar and covered with hands.
I read the reviews, they write that they are satisfied. We are still at a loss whether we are doing something wrong, or the gift turned out to be defective. And we don't know what to do next. Maybe, before it's too late, return it or change it for another. Help me please! It will be a pity if the gift is still defective. How to understand.

I downloaded the instructions for this model - the instructions, of course, are slag. From the pictures, it is completely unclear how the valve should be correctly positioned.
But if steam came out of the valve during cooking and there were gurgles, it was definitely not standing correctly. This is the problem. Typically, with a few exceptions, most pressure cookers start the cooking time countdown after the pressure has been built up if the program is designed to operate under pressure. Maybe your pressure did not build up due to an incorrectly installed valve. Look carefully, on the side of the valve, on the handle, there should be pictures-icons of the type of a cloud of steam - this is the position for steam release, the valve is open. Or point - the valve is closed. Or inscriptions in English. Try different positions, the flag to the right, or in the center, or wet to the left.
Most likely, it's a valve position, not a pressure cooker malfunction.

I don't know about vitesse, but my unit doesn't behave like that. A small amount of steam - if you bring your hand straight to the valve and a barely audible hiss is observed only when maximum the possible amount of liquid, which by the way cannot be exceeded.
If the valve is loose, the pressure cooker will lengthen the time, lose pressure, or not build up at all. Look, maybe the valve sits crookedly, something prevents it from completely blocking the steam outlet. Perhaps you did not have enough pressure, and therefore the saucepan did not understand at all that it was working. Examine the valve seat, how it covers everything there.
You have poured water and start listening. As soon as violent active boiling began and the valve began to whistle, gurgles began to flow, the most basic moment watch his landing, with a towel, fork - do not burn yourself !!! - very strong hot steam, be extremely careful with a foreign object - help it to sit down correctly, the whistling with gurgles should stop .. Maybe you are not completely wrapping the lid. On an empty pressure cooker, turn the cap and watch the valve fit.
The countdown on the screen should start, as far as I understand, if the valve fits well and the machine builds up pressure. If you have nothing on the screen not changes - the problem is in the landing, the machine thinks that it is not closed.
And find out exactly how good the saucepan is. I don't mean to scare you, but this is not just a saucepan. You should not be frivolous in the kitchen, in case of a malfunction, call the service and get advice. A pressure cooker is not a safe element in the kitchen. Today it does not squeak, then it will not turn off.

Bysina, Catherine, I have such a pressure cooker. Any pressure cooker cooks quickly, but it needs to gain pressure (10-15 minutes) at the beginning and release it at the end. To speed up the pressure build-up, it is better to fill the food with hot water. To quickly release, turn the valve, but not by hand, steam comes out in all directions at once, you can get burned.
She specially took out a pressure cooker, poured half of the water and chose "porridge" for 5 minutes. The pressure was gaining for about 10 minutes, then it hissed a little and that's it, the countdown started, while a metal pin rose, I don't know what it is called, blocked the hole for the steam to escape. Here he is in the photo.

The valve is turned along the handle, I have a sticker on the lid and everything is written there. The pressurization cover is turned to the left as far as it will go. In the photo, it is just closed.

As time ran out, three signals sounded, in the room you can not hear it, in the kitchen you can hear it well. The pressure cooker does not turn off, it goes into heating and will count the heating time on the display until you press the start / cancel button.

For forced release of pressure, turn the valve perpendicular to the handle, it has a symbol on the side of "steam outlet".

I do not know whether it is clear or not, I hope you will succeed.
