Tips & Tricks

Cut food into pieces for faster drying. The smaller the pieces, the faster they dry. Keep in mind, however, that food shrinks and shrinks when drying, so that too small pieces can start to fall through the slots of the pan. When drying berries or other small foods, use the supplied small food net. You can also put cheesecloth or food mesh on the trays so that the berries do not fall through the cells of the tray.

Cut food with thick skin into pieces, pierce the skin in several places, or remove the skin.

If you dry different types of food, then place the food dripping from the juice on the lower trays so that the juice from them does not get on the food of a different type, otherwise the taste of the food may mix.

Be sure to place the drip tray at the bottom of the chamber.

Put different types of food on different pallets so that they do not mix with each other.

Set the temperature low at the beginning of drying and gradually increase it during the drying process. If the temperature is set immediately, fresh food may cook.

For even air circulation, install all trays, even if some of them are empty. In this case, place the food trays in the middle.

Do not put too much food on the trays to avoid disturbing the air circulation inside the dryer. Do not stack food too tightly, leave a gap of 5-10 mm between the pieces for more efficient air circulation.

Stir the food on the pallets periodically while drying. Do not allow food to stick to the trays, at the end of drying it will be difficult to remove the stuck food from the trays.

When the dryer is running, hot air is blown from the back of the chamber to the front, so food on the far side of the pan can dry faster than the door side of the dryer. For uniform drying of food, it is recommended to turn the trays over towards the end of drying. Place more moist and juicy food on the lower trays.

Do not block air inlets and outlets. The inlets are on the back of the case and the outlets are on the top of the case.

Do not use the dryer for more than 72 hours in a row. After 72 hours of operation, switch off the dryer and wait 1 hour before switching on again.

The dryer is equipped with an emergency overheating protection. There is a thermal fuse in the back of the case, which, if the temperature is exceeded, will break the power circuit inside the device. To restore functionality, call the manufacturer's hotline.

If possible, it is better to set the temperature lower at the beginning of drying and increase it closer to the end of drying. For example, carrots are best dried for the first 5 hours at 45 ° C, then 4 hours at 65 ° C. Likewise for other vegetables. This is necessary to prevent the fresh product from being cooked in its own moisture at the beginning of drying. An increase in temperature towards the end of the drying process is necessary to evaporate the moisture deep in the core of the product.

Drying times and temperatures are approximate, they can vary greatly for different types of fruits and vegetables, their degree of freshness, shelf life. Also, drying can take different times at different temperatures and ambient humidity. The first few times it is recommended to carefully monitor the drying process.
