Description of the kettle Kitfort KT-644

Electric kettle Kitfort KT-644 is designed for boiling water at home, in offices and in summer cottages. The power of the kettle allows it to be used in homes with poor wiring.

The body of the kettle is made of stainless steel, while the lid and base are made of plastic. The measuring scale is printed on the back of the case. The handle of the kettle is plastic, does not heat up and fits comfortably in the hand.

The kettle power button is located at the bottom of the back. When the kettle is turned on, the operation indicator comes on. An analog thermometer is located on the front of the case, which displays the temperature of the water in the kettle.

The heating element (TEN) of this kettle model is hidden and is located in the bottom part. From above it is closed with a special metal plate made of stainless steel, due to which direct contact of the heating element with water is excluded. This design prevents the formation of limescale, facilitates maintenance and significantly reduces noise when heating water.

The stand with center contact allows the kettle to be placed on it in any position, providing 360 ° rotation. There is a cord storage compartment at the bottom, in which you can rewind excess power cord so that it does not get in the way on the table.

There is a replaceable scale filter in the spout of the kettle.

The kettle turns off automatically when it boils, has protection against overheating and turning on without water.

The kettle is operated by a special controller. It contains thermal sensors (bimetallic plates) that turn off the kettle when water boils, overheats or when there is no water, as well as a switch that turns the kettle on and off when you press the power button.

When the water boils, the generated steam enters the steam line, passes through it and then acts on the temperature sensor, which turns off the kettle. This design allows the kettle to turn off when the water boils, regardless of altitude (height above sea level). As you know, atmospheric pressure decreases with increasing altitude, and the boiling point of water, in turn, depends on pressure, so that high in the mountains, water can already boil at 80 ° C. Thus, the controller turns off the kettle not at a certain temperature, but when the water boils, no matter at what temperature it boils. It is recommended to keep the lid tightly closed during boiling, otherwise this mechanism may not work properly.

Preparation for work and use

Before using, rinse the inside of the kettle with water, then fill it, boil the water and drain.

1. Place the stand on a flat surface. Plug in the power cord. It is recommended to store excess cord in the compartment on the underside of the stand. Insert the cord into the slot in the stand.

2. Pour water into the kettle up to a level between the “MIN” and “MAX” marks, close the lid tightly, place it on the base and press the on / off button. The indicator light comes on and the kettle starts to heat up.

3. When the water boils, the kettle will automatically turn off and the indicator light will turn off.

4. If necessary, you can turn off the kettle by pressing the on / off button.

The thermometer shows the temperature of the water in the kettle. For the thermometer to work correctly, the water level in the kettle must be such that the measuring part of the thermometer inside the kettle is immersed in water.

Care and storage

To prolong the life of your kettle, remove the scale as it builds up. Place the descaling agent in the kettle (250 ml can be used

9% acetic acid solution, or 3 g of citric acid dissolved in 100 ml of water), pour water up to the MAX mark and boil. Wait for the solution to cool and drain. Then rinse the kettle with running water, boil water in it and drain it.

Remove and clean the scale filter periodically.

Use a damp cloth to wipe down the body of the kettle and the bases regularly. Front

Unplug the stand from the power supply when performing maintenance. Store the kettle in a cool and dry place out of the reach of children.

Troubleshooting

Water drops on a stand
Probably, the water level exceeded the maximum, as a result, when boiling, part of the water splashed out.

The kettle does not turn off when it boils
If the lid is not closed tightly, the auto-shutoff mechanism when boiling may not work.
