  • We will cook the cream in a pan. Pour the mixture into a heavy-bottomed pan and cook, stirring constantly, until the mixture thickens. This will take no more than 5 minutes. We remove the pan from the stove, the mass should cool down to room temperature (in order for the mass to cool down faster, it can be transferred to another container). Beat soft butter, add cream to it in several steps. We remove the finished cream in the refrigerator.

  • Add softened butter to the flour and grind the flour and butter into crumbs. Add sour cream. Pour vinegar into the soda, mix and send to the dough. We knead the dough. You don't need to knead it for a long time, just collect it into a lump. If you can't get it into a ball, add a little water. Leave the dough to rest for 5-10 minutes.

I don't know if Bavaria bakes such a cake, but the author of the recipe claims that a friend from Germany sent her the recipe. I found the cake shaping and the apple filling and custard combination interesting, so I baked it. I liked the cake, I'll still bake it, but I'll make some corrections. I will coat the cake with a thin layer of cream, and reduce the amount of oil in the cream.
