Bean sweets with prunes and chocolate

Ingredients

red beans (boiled) 100 g
prunes 60 g
dark chocolate 100 g
vanilla flavor 1/3 bottle
peanut butter (optional) 20 g
honey taste

Cooking method

  • Delicious candy can be made with any legumes.
  • I already did it from chickpeas, now I made it from red beans.
  • Soak the beans in water for several hours. Rinse, cover with clean water and boil until cooked.
  • Melt the chocolate.
  • Pour prunes (for better softening) with hot water for 15-20 minutes.
  • Place hot beans, chocolate, prunes, vanilla flavoring, peanut butter in a blender and grind until smooth, add a little water if necessary. To taste, add a little honey or sugar if required.
  • Transfer the mass to a bowl, cover with foil, place in the refrigerator for several hours.
  • Make candies from the chilled mass and roll them in cocoa.
  • Bean sweets with prunes and chocolate

Note

Store sweets in the refrigerator.

Gala, and your recipes indicate the weight of dry beans and chickpeas or already boiled?

I never thought about what was there with the weight after cooking - I threw it into the pan and okay.

Gala
Anna, the weight of the finished beans is indicated, added. Thank you. The recipe for chickpeas is indicated.

Galina, gorgeous sweets and how much you can store
Gala
Tatyana, 5-6 days in the refrigerator is definitely possible. I haven't tried it any longer.

Oh, what amazing sweets !!!
One photo can go crazy ...
I didn't even think that such a miracle could be created from legumes.
Galina, thanks for the recipe!
Gala
Rita, legumes are such a space (I'm not afraid of this word) for creativity. There are so many different dishes you can cook.
Another candy option in progress.
Arka
Beautiful candy!
Gala, well, if we compare chickpeas and beans, which taste is more pleasant and so ... dessert, or what?
Gala
Nata, Thank you!
Just looking at night, I finished the last candy. I think ... Both are delicious. And yet ... chickpea sweets of a more delicate confectionery taste. My husband definitely liked chickpea sweets more.

I also had such a question. But chickpeas are more expensive than beans. And beans with a brighter taste probably (this is an assumption, I have never bought chickpeas), maybe you need to add spices more actively than vanillin? Coffee or cinnamon, for example, almonds or almond flavor. Yes, even mint ...
The idea is great, how I will cook beans I will experiment.
Arka
Why did I ask?

I was making chocolate paste from beans, so I was so tortured to refuel it to kill the beans. Eliminated a ton of chocolate, a can of hazelnut urbech, instead of butter, bred unrefined coconut oil, and at the end polished it with condensed milk
Only after all the efforts did the beans go away. Only the pasta turned out 3 times more than planned.

Nata, well, I do not know
If you do not know the composition, then from what the candy is not clear. Well, maybe they very remotely resemble the taste of Soviet candies such as Caucasian.
What a shame I can't give you a try!

I would not say that beans have a brighter taste. If it is not salted and no spices are added, then it is quite neutral and fresh. And chickpeas have a delicate nutty taste. And with spices, of course, you can experiment within reasonable limits. But I liked this line-up.
