Eggplant-garlic pate

Ingredients

young eggplants 8 pcs.
garlic 7 tooth
soy sauce 1 tbsp. l.
vegetable oil 3 tbsp. l.
ground black pepper taste
salt taste
basil 4-5 foxes.
thyme 2 vet.
lemon juice taste

Cooking method

  • Eggplant-garlic pateWash the eggplants, remove the sepal, cut in half. Cut the pulp. My eggplants are very young and small. Palm-sized and smaller. These eggplants contain small seeds and very tender pulp.
  • Eggplant-garlic pateMix the soy sauce with one spoonful of vegetable oil.
  • Eggplant-garlic patePeel the garlic and cut into slices. Tear or chop the thyme.
  • Eggplant-garlic pateGrease eggplants with a soy-oil mixture. Insert the slices of garlic and thyme into the slots.
  • Eggplant-garlic pateBake in an oven preheated to 180 degrees until soft, about 30 minutes.
  • Eggplant-garlic pateSpoon out the eggplant pulp with garlic, put in a blender. Add vegetable oil, lemon juice, basil leaves. Spice up.
  • Eggplant-garlic pateGrind. Try it. Bring to taste (salt, pepper, add lemon juice and oil, possibly add some other favorite spices). Mix everything again with a blender.
  • Transfer to a bowl, cover and let stand for 30 minutes to "ripen" the taste.
  • Serve with toast, bread, biscuits, crackers, or simply eat with a spoon.

Eggplants would be good in net / gross, and not in pieces ... We must try this with white eggplants - they are softer than blue / purple ones, and there are almost no seeds inside ... And instead of soy sauce, Worcestershire, - but this is my personal problem: I don't like absolutely everything related to soy ...

I have more sauce than there was oil (with oil I was completely mistaken in the proportion, especially since it was mustard, I never used it and was afraid to put a lot) and there is little salt. And the eggplants themselves, some with bitterness, and some were sweetish. So it's all the same salt-spice to taste.
And the basil didn’t find the rosemary. Otherwise, "everything is strictly according to the recipe, delicious pilaf"
