Note

Cornel jam is good in winter for colds as an antipyretic.
Literally a tablespoon of cornelian cherry syrup made the tea play with a wonderful aroma, and also the tea acquired a pleasant slight sourness.
I tried several recipes for jam this year from dogwood and realized that the old proven recipe is the best.

I really love dogwood jam, but ... last year we overdid it. There was too much jam and dogwood marmalade ... they didn't do it. I don’t even look at the dogwood this fall.

overdid it last year
It happens to me too, I haven't made a dogwood for two years, this year I decided to try a brand new jam, chose a couple of recipes, made it and realized that I had to return to my own, I will no longer experiment, but do it according to the recipe proven over the years. For some reason, jam has not taken root with us, they do not eat mine, and jam goes with a bang, especially helps in winter with a cold, it helps to relieve fever well.

And we do not grow
Angela, we also do not grow, we buy on a fruit and vegetable base with a box of 5-6 kg. Once upon a time, traveling along the Volga, at the market in Saratov for the first time I tasted dogwood - for me it was a discovery of taste. As soon as they began to import from us, I immediately bought it. I rummaged through the entire Internet, found recipes for compote, preserves and jam. They refused jam, but my family loved compote and jam, and my relatives do not refuse the presented jar, or even another.
