Note

Tuna (yellow-finned, striped, spotted, long-finned, big-eyed, blue) is a schooling fish. Length 0.4-1.8 m, weight 1.5-22 kg; there are specimens over 4.5 m long and weighing over 700 kg. The body is moderately elongated, fusiform, on each side of the caudal peduncle there is 1 large middle keel and 2 small ones; there are additional fins behind the soft dorsal and anal fins. The coloration of the back is blue, the sides are silvery-gray with transverse rows of spots or longitudinal stripes formed by dark spots. Inhabits the equatorial tropical and temperate waters of the World Ocean, occurs in the Black Sea and in the southern seas of the Far East. An important fishing object. Tuna meat is fibrous, very pleasant to the taste, some tuna have white, others reddish or dark, contains 19-24% protein, 4.3% fat; it is sometimes compared to chicken meat.

Tuna is used mainly for the preparation of canned food ("Natural tuna", "Blanched tuna in oil"). Light tuna meat is used to make fillets, sausages. Tuna can be boiled (in slightly salted water to preserve the color of the meat), stew, bake, simmer with vegetables, you can prepare filling for pies, salads, cold snacks from it.

Natasha, an interesting salad. I love both tuna and corn! I really wanted it now. And already noooo. And you also need to buy tuna. Corn, that is.

My family does not like tuna, I replaced it with steam herring. The rest is prescription.
Wonderful salad! I take them to the permanent ones. Thank you!

Irish, experiments are welcome. And this is a new salad. If I am lucky enough to buy decent quality herring, I will try it too. Thanks for the idea.
