A question about corn cobs.
Yesterday they brought quite a lot, about 10. I want to boil a few, but where are the rest? How can I save them? Boil and freeze or freeze and then boil as needed?

Natasha, I took note of such two methods ...
(but I didn't have to do it, since everything was quickly eaten)
- On the cob.
To do this, clean the ears completely, prepare a pot of boiling water and a large cup with the following composition: cold water, ice cubes, lemon juice and salt (one teaspoon per liter of water). Immerse the ears in boiling water for three minutes, then immediately transfer to ice water. Then lay these ears on a cloth and dry. And only then wrap your ears in cling film and freeze in the freezer - the corn will not lose its freshness. Naturally, cook as usual before use. We tried to store it in this way, ate in December, like fresh).

- Beans.
This saves space in the freezer. You can prepare the corn in the same way as described above, but then peel off the grains and put them in zip bags (Velcro bags), put them in the freezer and you can use this corn as fresh for a year and a half. Enough until the new harvest).
Try it

Irina Dolars, Irina, thanks, I'll try on the cob. She is very young, cool, I can't make out her grain by grain. I also wanted to boil the cobs and freeze them right away ... but I don't know what is better now. Probably frozen blanched, as in the first method.

Bast1nda, Natasha, it's definitely better to freeze blanched.
Raw sweat is not tasty at all.

And you don't need to disassemble the grain by grain, just cut it off with a knife after blanching.

RepeShock, Irina, thank you! blanched and frozen. They are dairy, so pretty, well, then I'll try which ones will turn out)))))
