Chicken hearts in cheese sauce

Ingredients

Chicken hearts 700 g
Sour cream 20% 3-4 tbsp. l
Processed cheese (you can 100 g
Garlic 2-3 cloves
Bulb onions 1 - 2 pieces
Greens (parsley, dill) a couple of twigs
Starch 0.5 tsp
Salt, ground pepper taste
Vegetable oil for frying

Cooking method

  • Wash hearts, cut off excess fat and blood vessels. Add a little vegetable oil to a deep frying pan and heat it well. Put the hearts in a frying pan, salt and pepper.
  • Fry over high heat, stirring vigorously for 2-3 minutes. Then reduce the heat and leave the hearts to simmer in their own juice for about 15 minutes.
  • Peel the onion and cut into small cubes. Fry the onion with the addition of vegetable oil in a separate frying pan until golden brown.
  • Add the fried onions to the chicken hearts, stir and leave to simmer for 15 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  • Wash the greens, dry and chop finely.
  • Peel the garlic and pass through a press.
  • Grate cheese on a coarse grater.
  • Add sour cream and cheese to the pan to the chicken hearts, mix. The cheese will melt and our sauce will become smooth.
  • Add starch, garlic and herbs to the pan. Bring the sauce to a boil, add salt if necessary.
  • Cover the pan with a lid and remove from heat. Serve tender, delicious chicken hearts in cheese sauce hot with any side dish.

My husband doesn't like chicken hearts. And I don't really cook them. Only if I make the Navel of the Earth salad, I can put a core in it instead of stomachs. Well, also Lena Tim's pie when I make, I also make with hearts or stomachs. These dishes pass with him. But as a gravy, he does not want to eat.
I got this recipe in the SC for a long time. I kept it for myself, and now I decided to cook it.
Surprisingly, the husband twisted his nose at first. But after trying, ate the dish, and also praised it!

Ritochka, well, this is a feature of hearts to be harsh. I cooked it for the salad in a pressure cooker, it turns out soft, but you still need to chew. I tried to cook slowly, you also need to try to chew.
In this dish, I also got a soft core, but they don't melt in the mouth like a liver.
