Pea flour

Ingredients

Peas

Cooking method

  • Peas are cheap and not in short supply. And pea flour is quite expensive. And not every store can buy it.
  • But I do it myself.
  • According to my grandmother's recipe.
  • Pea flour Soak the peas. I usually put it on at night.
  • Pea flour We boil. But not before boiling. The peas should be boiled, but still firm.
  • Pea flour Put the peas on baking paper. Oven at 100 degrees, but leave the door slightly ajar. Grandma put it in the cooling stove.
  • Pea flour In about an hour we roll the peas with a rolling pin. An hour later we roll in again.
  • We put the peas to dry further. 3 hours for sure. Granny left for the night.
  • Pea flour Push the peas.
  • Pea flour We sift. Crumbs remain in the sieve. We do not throw it away! She will help us out if we want to make instant pea soup. It's just a lifesaver when there is no time.
  • Pea flour And this is our goal - pea flour. Many delicious dishes can be prepared from it.
  • There will be time - I will lay out the recipes.

Note

Why didn't I grind raw peas on the same harvester?
Everything is simple. My flour and grits will not make the final meal (as we say) chatty, that is, there will be no increased gas formation among eaters. Because the peas have gone through a long heat treatment. This is the first plus.
Second: products made from ground peas are often given as raw peas. The taste is not very pleasant.
Third: products made from my flour cook faster.

The flour was stored for a couple of months without compromising quality. Didn't try again. Krupka is easily worth six months in a closed glass jar.

Irina, we have a section CONTENTS OF THE INGREDIENTS AND ACCESSORIES FOR BREAD SECTION , including flour topics.
How to grind flour from various grains and cereals at home

It is advisable to transfer your recipe to this section, to the general databank of the forum, there it will be in place

Thanks for the flour recipe

I agree, it would be more appropriate for her there. It's just that the moderators took the recipe for starch preparation to this section. And I, by analogy, added a recipe for pea flour here.

But I have hook hands. I don’t know how to move the Temko to the required section. Can the moderators help?

Tatyana, and can leave a recipe? And give a reference there

Ira, and why scatter the ingredients for baking on the forum? To ask questions "where to find" again later? After all, the topic has been around for many years, and the recipe is more suited to flour ingredients than just useful advice.

Try it. A very unusual taste. Or rather an unusual view. Visually looks more like regular noodles. And to taste - peas with smoked meats. Breaking the pattern.
