Grenadine at home

Ingredients

pomegranate juice 1 l.
sugar 350-500 ml.

Cooking method

  • Pour pomegranate juice into a bowl and put on fire.
  • Boil down by half.
  • Add sugar.
  • Let the sugar boil and dissolve.
  • Boil for another 5-7 minutes over medium heat.
  • Pour into a clean, dry jar and refrigerate. Or pour into a sterile jar and roll up with a sterile lid.
  • The syrup is ready.

Note

For this syrup you need to take natural juice. But, if it is not there, then you can take the juice from the store. If the juice is natural, then add 500 milliliters of sugar, those 2 glasses. If the juice is store-bought and already with sugar, then you need to take less sugar. I have store juice. I took 350 milliliters of sugar.
The syrup is used in cocktails, desserts, topping and in cooking.
