Boiled beet brownie (lean option)

Ingredients

Boiled (or baked) beetroot puree 370 - 430 g
Vegetable oil (odorless) 115 g
Sugar 360 g
Chocolate (preferably high in cocoa) 100 g
Flour 300 g
Cocoa powder 25 g
Vanilla essence, vanillin, cinnamon 1 tsp / to taste
Salt 1/3 tsp
Baking powder 2 tsp
Soda 1/4 tsp

Cooking method

  • Make mashed potatoes from boiled (or baked) beets (2-3 pieces): peel the cooled beets and punch in the grinding bowl of a blender until smooth. Chop the chocolate into small cubes. The most time-consuming operations are over, everything else is done very simply and quickly.
  • Preheat oven to 175 degrees. Prepare a brownie mold, line with paper or oil. It is enough to sprinkle the silicone with water. For brownies, a square shape with a side length of 22-23 cm is preferable.
  • In a bowl, combine vegetable oil with sugar, you can beat with a mixer - I just stir with a spoon or a silicone spatula. Add beetroot puree, stir until sugar dissolves. Add chopped chocolate, add vanilla essence or vanillin, cinnamon and mix well.
  • Sift flour, cocoa, baking powder, baking soda and salt into another bowl. Combine dry ingredients with liquid base, mix well until smooth. (The dough is like thick sour cream)
  • Transfer the dough to the prepared form, smooth the surface. Bake for 30-40 minutes. After 30 minutes, check the readiness with a wooden stick (toothpick). A toothpick should come out dry at the edges of the cake, with a little sticking in the middle. Talk about the readiness of brownies can be judged by the intense smell of chocolate filling the kitchen! Cracks on the surface of the baking also indicate readiness. I think everyone is well aware that overexposing brownies in the oven is strictly not allowed. But if this happens, do not worry, the cake will still be delicious!
  • Allow to cool to room temperature and sprinkle with sugar or cocoa powder. You can decorate the surface with melted chocolate.
  • It is advisable to cut brownies after complete cooling.
