Note

In our family, this soup is prepared by mothers and children together. Only the kids do the grout in a slightly different way. You need to take three plates. First, pour a mixture of beaten eggs with a little water or milk, or kefir. Pour flour generously into the second plate. And in the third plate we will do this very grout.
The kid dips his palms into the egg mixture, then lowers them into flour (do not spare flour) and over the third plate begins to rub his palms together. So the grout turns out.
But if you cook in the first way, then it will be softer and will look more like dumplings, and if you cook it in the "childish" way, it will look more like noodles.

Oh, how many pleasant memories from this soup.
Firstly, you could get dirty and no one scolded you for that. On the contrary, they were praised for their help. Mom always said that she would never get such a delicious grout in her life. And only my palms can do a small miracle.
Secondly, the main part of the soup (as I thought) was made by me, and therefore this soup was called mine. And they praised me again.
Thirdly, for some reason this particular soup seemed to me very tasty. And I ate a whole plate. Although she was not a grandpa. And they praised me again.
And if a neighbor also comes to visit and tastes some soup and, of course, praises it, then my nose lifted higher than Everest. Still, I create a culinary sensation not only in a single apartment.

When I had children, I, of course, realized that it was easier for my mother to cook an ordinary soup with a vermesh. But Zatiukha - it was our magical time with her. Her and mine. When we could fool around, have fun, and at the same time cook dinner.
Usually my mother had perfect cleanliness in the kitchen, but when we were preparing Zatiruha, it was allowed to accidentally sprinkle the dough on the walls and sprinkle flour on the floor, table and even hair with a face.
This was my holiday. And my mother's. And her patience prize was a bowl of soup. Eaten by me. Whole, to the brim. No whims.

I adopted many of my mother's methods of education. Including soup Zatiukha. At first I did it with my daughter and son, and now with my grandchildren. So cooking can be a successful psychological trick too.

Irina, thanks for the recipe, for the story. The soup of my childhood from my grandmother, my mother for some reason did not cook it. My children loved soup with dumplings, but they didn't try Zatiruha, didn't cook. We need to improve. Thanks again.

Here, probably, all the grandmothers, whose youth and childhood passed in the hungry pre-war, war and post-war years, cooked such a soup. Mine just cooked. It was very thick. There was a lot of dough in it. My grandfather and my mother loved him very much, but somehow I did not like it. Although it tastes like the dumplings that I loved. Right now, I would love to eat it. And neither I nor my mother learned to cook. No one has ever attracted me to cooking. Probably it was easier for my grandmother to do everything quickly herself than with me) And it's a pity. Ira, thank you. You have to try and cook.

toffee, Irina, again a recipe with a story, thanks! Here I was young, less involved daughters in the preparation of dinners. The fastest, cleaner thing was to do. And with my grandchildren, I became smarter and try to cook everything together. But how happy they are after that. Important things that help, that they also cooked.
Zatiruha in our family was prepared for fasting. But they still fried, from this the taste became richer and more aromatic. And even now I sometimes cook like that in Lent.

An interesting and useful connection of children to cooking. It's a pity that my children are not that age anymore.

I have attracted my sons since 3-4 years (if not earlier). They also liked the game and liked it.
I didn't know such a soup. I often do with dumplings.

toffee, Ira, thanks for such a soup. I will call him over-the-top. I'll try to attract my granddaughter, she loves to knead with me, play in the water. And how he loves to help. Yesterday the dishes were washed, the business woman was all like that. When she was praised for the washed dishes, her nose was also raised above Everest.

Irina, I will definitely try to do it with the kids. Thanks for the recipe and story.

I'll tell you my epic with this mess. I remember my mother made such a soup for herself, for some reason we ignored it. Then I read it, I was on fire to do it. Chicken broth, a handful of flour poured into the egg and grind it, as it is written, it does not work out dryly, give flour more and more, something is not right. Let's dilute with water, stir with a hand mixer, but it doesn't dissolve like the dumplings of steel. I threw it into the broth, and the paste was a lot, the dumplings were caught in boiling water, I feel they won't cook. The result was a broth with a kind of custard and insoluble dumplings, which I then threw away. But delicious. Well, the question to Irina, a handful of flour for one egg is about a lope? And thanks for the recipe, I'll try to do it again, taking into account the mistakes.

Thank you for making your wish come true, I just remembered this soup recently. How delicious it was prepared by grandmother, with a young cockerel, a fairy tale. My grandmother herself hasn't learned to cook such a sous for a long time. Will be studying.

This is such a good handful, weighty.
Easier to do in the second way. Soak your palms in an egg mixture, then dip them in flour and grind.

Irina, tried to make a grout. Not that a handful of flour spilled, a huge handful in my opinion. Still, the dough didn't come out dry enough to make such small dumplings. We decided to make just small balls with the children. The children liked the taste. I also added corn and green peas to the soup, it turned out delicious, bright.
Irina, can you weigh the approximate amount of flour?
Kokoschka
Irina, just going to do! I make dumplings in a different way, but I also liked this method, I will have to try!

I can't even imagine how to weigh ...
The second way is easier. I even have a three-year-old granddaughter doing this grout (though under my guidance).
