Technical nuances, problems and breakdowns of the Redmond Multibaker - Series 6

Good afternoon everyone!
I propose to put questions about breakdowns, cases of marriage and technical nuances of use in this Temka Series 6 multibakers **.
There are many questions from users and those who are just going to buy a device, so I think Temka will be useful.
Let's share negative experiences, not just positive ones. In order not to step on the same "rake".

At the same time, we will try to speak specifically and to the point, so as not to overload Temka and not to complicate the search for useful information for those who are in dire need of it!

Uploading a photo with a marriage for more information is welcome!
As the saying goes: "Forewarned ~ means armed!"

Good day!
611 came from redmond. Question - when installing the Dutch waffle panel, the gap is clearly visible:
Technical nuances, problems and breakdowns of the Redmond Multibaker - Series 6
Is that how it should be? Or a defective device or panel?
Plain bread waffles are baked for about 5 minutes and redden only on the sides.

Svetlana, the same. Put Dutch waffle panels and here's a crack

There is no such thing on the grill plate

But my waffles are baked normally, 2-2.5 minutes

I'm spreading with grill plates for now, no gap.

I have the same 2-3 mm gap as Tatyana's, on Sandvichnaya and Gollandsky. All the rules are being baked.
That is, I want to add that some "unevenness baking "is present in Redmond in general.
Even in their pictures in the Book of Recipes, this is noticeable.
For example:

Somewhere they asked about the backlash (not a tight fit of the plates).
Here are my grill plates. Sfotala.
The bottom sits tight. The upper one walks a little ... In-out, if you press with your finger. This is quite normal play.

When I snap and when I don't snap MP.
I liked the oven just a piece of puff pastry. I bake a grill or pizza on the bar without snapping.
I also don’t snap hot sandwiches on the same panels, but after placing the product, I just press the lid for 1-2 seconds.
Thin and thick wafers must be snapped on.

To fry thinly sliced bread
Usually I fry bread on a grill or pizza, replacing one panel with thin waffles.

Girls, I have a "personal dislike" for the smell from two of my Panels (out of all six available) ...
These are stick cookies and thick waffles.
I speak right away. Soaps. I ignited it. Has baked more than once. Wash and soak again ... But! As soon as they heat up, there is a terrible CHEMICAL stench, as if the film is melting (well, in my perception!).
... And now, I can't eat it!
Does anyone else have a "smell"? Or just me?
win-tat
Rita, my panel also smelled soooo with chemistry (so nasty), and even before calcination, when I began to wash it, and from the bottom side, I was already stunned. But after calcining everything disappeared. But I don’t remember which one.

I burned all the panels, there was no smell, but the pizza does not want to get back into place !!!

Ladies, good day. For a month now, I am the owner and fan of MP-6. But I, as a person with a technical education, have doubts about the reliability of the electric wire. At the point of its entry into the MP housing, the wire is, as it were, twisted and weakened. Favorite panels are fish and Hong Kong waffles, but they require (the dough is watery) flipping, and the wire additionally bends dangerously every time. Tell me, do you have similar problems? Maybe immediately replace the wire with a plug, at the same time lengthening it and putting a switch on it?
I wonder if Redmond's engineers somehow see these experiences of ours?

Surprisingly, the wire is the first thing I liked about the baker after the purchase.
I also turn it over, but nothing is stretched, I have sockets above the table.
If anything, the connectors inside are quite accessible for soldering.

I think Redmond's engineers did not envision the flight of thoughts of users with Soviet ingenuity

Lena ,, m. B. not quite in the subject ... I have baked fish more than once, but never turned the Cartoon over. The difference in frying the sides is minimal. I just found a convenient way for myself to quickly pour the dough into the mold. I fill it either from a pastry bag, or from an ordinary file with a cut off corner. Even with the filling it turns out fine.
I don't have Hong Kong ones, so I can't tell you how to deal with them ...
Lena Sweet Tooth
And I pour the "fish" from a small measuring cup with a good spout. Or with a beak ... I spied on the Internet how the Japanese are controlled. The dough, which suits me to taste, is watery, and does not rise to the top panel. Therefore, you have to "get out" ...

Elena, I also bake fish from batter, but I never turn it over, it turns golden on top normally.

win-tat, I guess I'm reinsured.

Immediately after the end of the warranty, the latch on the handle broke - I tried to close a couple of boutiques in the sandwich panel.) But these are trifles ... And today, after a year and 1.5 months, it stopped turning on altogether, the orange indicator does not light, the shades do not heat up. The most interesting thing is that the unit apparently died during the cooking process - I will disassemble it myself because there is no guarantee anymore ...

because there is no longer a guarantee ...
What kind of model do you have? New or old? I have a 605, still with a central panel fastener. So she has a 2-year warranty ... Surely our units will also start to die like that? And I planned to collect 10 corners and take on the M-600 stock, and he also has a 1-year warranty.

RMB-611. In work since 20.01.2017. We used it purely as a toaster two or three times a day for 10-15 minutes. An autopsy showed that the lower heating element had burned out, which is under the panel - I'll take off the photo in the evening. Either it began to rust - the quality of the copper coating is terrible, or just such a calculation of the parametrists - in general, it even crumbled ((The replacement of the heating element will rise in 1700 rubles - they announced in the service, and the new RMB-600 is still on sale for 1600 rubles . I'm shocked))

My 6 multibaker began to buzz right after the dough was laid, when baking for 2-3 minutes it buzzes and then calms down, the same thing is repeated with a new tab. Gudezh is somewhat similar to the sound of a working refrigerator. During the first baking, it worked completely quietly, and on the second day it began to hum, but it bakes normally ... Tell me, please, is it humming for everyone when baking, or do I have a marriage and need to be brought to the service?

win-tat, Tanya, thank you very much. And then she was scared. So everything is fine. I won't worry anymore.
win-tat
You definitely don't need to worry
Annushka85
Sometimes my multibaker also buzzes, but somehow I don’t worry, buzzing means it works))). Recently, they gave a new one in the Redmond store for a purchase, I tried it, it also makes sounds - it means that something is heating up there, maybe just a light bulb.
Marfusha5
And yesterday I took the panels in the store and asked if the multibaker should be buzzing or not. The girl said to look after him and that, in theory, she shouldn't be buzzing so that she could bring it to the service. But, for many it is buzzing, so for now I'll see how it will behave further. Until I carry it.

so under the guarantee must be repaired?! I have TTT with both all the rules, the first second year, the second third month.

Marfusha5, Irina, I had 3 multibakers, all 3 were buzzing.

Hello everyone I bought this miracle of technology today. He turned on, warmed up, fried two steaks. The steaks are ready. Turned off, and no longer turn on How long to wait, and should I?)
Marfusha5
listengort88If it does not turn on, take it back to the store. During baking, the green light comes on at intervals of about 1-2 minutes. Should not go out for a long time. It glows for a few seconds, then goes out and after 1-2 minutes it lights up again for a few seconds.
listengort88
Thank you for your answer. The fact is that no light is on - not even an orange one. What's in the outlet, what's without, what's on OH, what's on OFF - the same thing

And if I got it through the order center - where should I carry it?))) Directly to Redmond's lair? to all MERSY

Then just take it back. Let them change.

And if you received it through the center for issuing orders - where to carry it?)))
I would call the store, find out how to return.
I bought my multibaker directly from the Redmond store, in the end I returned my multibaker to the same store. I brought it, they took it from me for examination and after a while they issued a new device.

Hello everyone. It was the same crap. After the puff apple pie no longer turned on. There was no guarantee, I took it apart myself - there got sugar sticky liquid from apples inside and on a thermal fuse (such a metal cylindrical). After the replacement, everything began to work as before. It must be additionally insulated from moisture ingress.

Technical nuances, problems and breakdowns of the Redmond Multibaker - Series 6

Additionally, I faced the problem of low power. Everything is kind of half-baked without a dark crust. We tried to bake mushroom cookies - for a very long time, it bakes for 10 minutes. In a hazelnut (separate apparatus of the same power) it is baked in 4-5 minutes. And then I saw that the thermal switch is 170 degrees in our device.
Technical nuances, problems and breakdowns of the Redmond Multibaker - Series 6

It seems to me that 170 degrees for baking is somehow not enough. Any recipe in the oven from 180 to 220 degrees. I want to try replacing this switch by 180 or 190 degrees and see if it’s a matter of power or is it still underheating.

I do not know whether we discussed it or not, but I will write. for everyone))

I'm talking about the fact that sometimes the panels of multi-bakers do not snap into place. or snap, but somehow insecure. and can be dropped.

my first multibaker snapped into place. bought the second - what was! although the first one is still plowing properly - and so, on the second panels do not snap into place. in general, even approximately. I treated it by bending the metal bar into which they rest when installing the panel, the one where the two projections of the panels are inserted. bent it a little bit completely, it is not even noticeable that something has changed, but in the end the panel began to reach the latch. and everything became normal)))
I don’t know if something might break off or not, but there seems to be nothing to break. but just in case I bent carefully)
