Ingredients

duck 2 Kg
orange 3 pcs
lemon 1 PC
the wine is sweet (I have soy sauce) 2 tbsp. l.
honey 2 tbsp. l.
salt pepper taste
olive oil 1 tbsp. l.

Cooking method

  • This dish is truly winter - the smell of oranges and baked duck is the traditional aromas of the New!
  • The main thing is to marinate the duck in advance.
  • To do this, mix the juice of one lemon, the juice of one orange, salt, pepper, olive oil and, if desired, your favorite spices. Optionally, you can trim the tips of the wings, excess fat.
  • We send the duck to the refrigerator for 1-6 hours (the longer the better!).
  • Cut one orange into 4 pieces.
  • We take out the duck from the marinade, fill it with quarters of orange, put it in a baking dish greased with a little oil and send it to the oven, preheated to 190 * C. If we do not cut the tips of the wings, it is better to wrap them in foil, like the tips of the legs.
  • We bake for about 2 hours (when baking, pour the juice over the duck every 20 minutes).
  • At this time, we prepare the glaze: mix the juice of one orange, honey and soy sauce (you can have wine), bring the mixture to a boil and cook until it becomes a syrup.
  • When the glaze has the desired consistency, remove it from heat.
  • At the appointed time, we take the finished duck out of the oven, take out the orange slices from the inside, remove them - they are no longer needed. Pour the cooked hot icing on top - that's all, the festive dish is ready!

  • It is best to serve the duck with slices of fresh orange (we still have it in stock) and any side dish to your taste.

Mirabel, Vika, thanks for the compliment. I can't say anything about the slow cooker ... You can probably use it too. Only this gloss will most likely not work. Apparently, after the CF you need to grill for 5 minutes.
