Cooking method

  • Melt the butter until hot, not boiling. Pour in baking soda, salt and sugar, stir in the egg and cottage cheese. I have kefir / ryazhenka cottage cheese, quite homogeneous, if the cottage cheese is grainy, then it is better to wipe it first. Add flour, knead a soft dough, which can be rolled into a bun. It is not necessary to hammer with flour, but the dough should not and strongly stick to your hands. Divide the bun into 2 equal parts. Remove the dough in the refrigerator for 20-30 minutes.
  • At this time, you can do the filling. Grate the cheese, add seasonings to taste, grated or minced garlic, stir in the egg and sour cream. The filling is ready.
  • Turn on the oven 180 degrees.
  • It's time to start shaping the cake. In the original, it is recommended to distribute one part of the dough in the form along the bottom and sides, but since the filling of the cake is not fluid, you can safely mold the cake just on the sheet. I did just that. I rolled the dough in flour, rolled it into an oval layer on a Teflon rug, transferred the rug to a baking sheet. I laid out the filling indented from the edges. She laid the second rolled layer on top and pinched the edges. She pressed the edge to the top with her hands moistened with water and lightly pressing, flattening with wet palms, gave the whole cake a smoother shape. The pie turns out to be low, similar in appearance to the Ossetian. It is better to pierce the top of the cake with a fork, otherwise it will swell very much when baking. Sprinkle with sesame seeds and put in a preheated oven for 20-25 minutes until browning evenly.
  • Allow to cool slightly and can be cut.

I decided to try a recipe found in the network with a promising name - "Lovely" Cheese Pie 🔗 ... I slightly adjusted it to my taste - I replaced some of the butter with sour cream. I think the amount of cheese in the filling can be safely reduced to 200 g - in my opinion, a small layer of cheese will be enough. I really liked the dough - it will replenish my piggy bank of universal curd! The composition of the products cannot be called simple, but the pie is very quick to prepare, aromatic and tasty! Garlic gives the filling a spicy taste and aroma, so the pie was appreciated even by not ardent cheese lovers! So the original name is quite justified! Thanks to the author!
