Ingredients

Soft cottage cheese (or pureed) 250 g
Sugar 125 g
Vegetable oil 125 g
Egg (protein - in the dough, yolk - for the top grease) 1 PC
Salt pinch
Baking powder 1 sachet
vanillin / vanilla sugar
Flour 400 g
Filling
Apples 3 pcs
ground cinnamon (optional) taste

Cooking method

  • The pies are tasty and unusual, first of all, because all the sugar is in the dough - no sugar is added to the grated apple filling, thanks to which it is juicy, but not fluid.
  • The dough for pies is prepared very quickly, so it is better to start their preparation with the filling.
  • Peel the apples, grate on a coarse grater, sprinkle with cinnamon. Some of my pies are stuffed with dry apples *. (See note)

  • Cottage cheese needs soft, homogeneous, pasty is suitable (if the cottage cheese is grainy, then it must be pre-wiped). I have a homemade one - from milk and kefir.
  • In a bowl, combine cottage cheese, sugar, salt, vegetable oil, egg white and baking powder. Beat for a couple of minutes with a mixer until smooth. Add flour and quickly knead into a soft dough.
  • Divide it in two, roll up the sausages and cut each into 8 pieces. Knead into flat cakes, you can without a rolling pin, just with your hands - the dough is soft and easy to knead, but it is also loose, it breaks easily, so you don't need to knead it too thin. Put the filling in the middle, sculpt in the usual way: pinch the edges, flatten the seam in the center of the pie. We spread it with the seam down on a sheet with a Teflon mat (or paper). Grease the top of the pies with yolk. We bake in an oven preheated to 180 degrees for about 30 minutes, until evenly browning - focus on your oven.

*** I had only one apple, so I made some of the pies with a different filling: I chopped dry apples with scissors and mixed them with pieces of pulp of one orange. The apples quickly absorbed all of the orange juice and swelled slightly.
The filling of dry apples also behaved perfectly during baking, perfectly fit into this dough and turned out to be delicious, of course, for lovers of orange notes.
Any other juicy fruit, such as a plum or a peach, is also suitable as an additive to dry apples.
