Ingredients

Light-salted herring 1-3 pcs
Beet 1- 5 pcs
Egg 3-10 pcs
Carrots (optional) 1-2 pcs
Green onions / onions (optional) taste
Mayonnaise taste
Ground black pepper taste

Cooking method

  • Another version of your favorite salad "Herring under a fur coat" - light and tender! The main difference from the original recipe is that it has no layers or potatoes. The main ingredients are herring, beetroot, egg and mayonnaise. Carrots (boiled), onions - onions or green can be added to taste. I do not add carrots, I do not interfere with onions - I sprinkle them on the finished salad when serving. It is better to make the salad the day before and let it brew in the refrigerator.
  • Boil or bake beets. Boil a few eggs hard-boiled. We cut the herring into files.
  • Cut the herring into small pieces, rub the beets on a coarse grater, grind the eggs (you can also grate it). Yolks from 2-3 eggs can be left to decorate the salad. Mix, pepper, add your favorite mayonnaise and stir. We put it in a container and put it in the refrigerator. Before serving, lay out on a dish, you can preliminarily in a ring, mold, decorate with boiled yolk and green onions.

I saw the recipe for such a "fur coat" a long time ago on cooking. Recipe author - Jaconda, thank her very much for it! I really like this option, perhaps because in the usual "herring under a fur coat" (which I love very, very much!) The potato layer is not my favorite! In my opinion, it makes the salad a little heavier, although this is certainly a matter of taste!
