Swedish waffles with chocolate sauce (Princess waffle maker)

Ingredients

Sour cream 350 g
Wheat flour 130 gr (1 glass)
Sugar 40 g
Water 2-3 st. l.
Baking powder 1 tsp
Butter 25 g
For the sauce:
Dark chocolate 50 g
Butter 10 g
Milk 2 tbsp. l.
Rum (cognac) 1-2 tbsp. l.

Cooking method

  • For waffles, mix sour cream with water. Add water depending on the thickness of the sour cream. The thicker the sour cream, the more water.
  • Pour sifted flour with baking powder and sugar into sour cream.
  • Stir with a spoon, or better with a whisk.
  • Leave the dough to rest for 5-10 minutes.
  • Melt the butter and cool.
  • Add the butter to the waffle mixture, stir and bake the waffles on the well-heated surface of the waffle iron.
  • Traditionally, Swedish waffles are baked in the shape of hearts. I just poured 2 tbsp. l. for each half of the waffle iron.
  • Bake until golden brown.
  • Chocolate sauce: Heat the mixture of chocolate, butter and milk, stirring occasionally, in a water bath until the butter and chocolate melt into a homogeneous mass. At the end, add rum or cognac to taste, stirring a little more.
  • Serve waffles with chocolate sauce and tea or coffee.

So far, I baked waffles once and heated them once at idle to get burned. But yes, it is a little slow-moving, but I think you can adapt.
