Ingredients

Halibut (large steaks) 3-4 pcs.
Egg 2 pcs.
Flour how much will it take
Salt taste
Odorless vegetable oil (I have olive oil) on demand

Cooking method

  • I was thinking how to cook halibut steaks, with which I am not very friendly. Lena-Albochka advised in batter, and I decided that in batter, and even bake so that the pieces do not fall apart. So I'm showing you a not too intricate recipe for the lazy or very busy!
  • Defrost halibut steaks and drain. Season with salt on both sides. Cut in two along the ridge.
  • Mix the eggs well until smooth. Prepare flour in a bowl.
  • Dip each piece of fish thoroughly on both sides in flour. Then in an egg and then again in flour. It is best to do this with forceps.
  • A baking dish (I have a crisp plate from micra) lightly grease with vegetable oil and lay out the boneless pieces of fish. Sprinkle the pieces with vegetable oil on top.
  • Bake in the oven or in a microwave oven on convection without microwaves at 180 C until a pleasant golden brown crust appears on the pieces of fish.
  • Serve immediately with rice or mashed potatoes.
  • The fish did not disintegrate, the crust turned out, and the fish itself turned out in a delicate, not too thick sauce, vaguely reminiscent of bechamel, since the fish released a lot of juice, and it mixed with egg batter.
  • We liked the dish, try it too!

Note

I wanted to bake in Princess or Tortilla, but I was afraid of the large amount of liquid that this fish secretes. And with it the crust would not work, but it's worth trying it once.
