Cooking method

  • Ah, if only ... If I had the honor to invite the princess of the Netherlands, I would like it to be Princess Irene. And not only because she is my namesake, but also because there was a love story in her life that could well be told like a real fairy tale. This is now Princess Irena - a beautiful elderly lady surrounded by numerous grandchildren, and once ... She was once a young beauty who fell in love with a handsome prince (yes, yes, the real one! Carlos-Hugo Bourbon-Parma was a contender for Spanish throne). But not everything is simple in the life of kings and princesses. Everyone, absolutely everyone, was against their marriage. But love has overcome all obstacles. And even though the prince and princess had to be from the right of succession to the thrones, it all ended in a wedding!

  • The lovers were forgiven, they had children, and these children have grandchildren. And Princess Irena of the Netherlands devoted her life to her family, caring for nature and promoting cultural values.
  • Of course, then, back in 1964, it was a rather noisy European scandal. But now the morals have softened, and this story, like many others like it, only proves that when there is true love, it conquers everything!
  • For our tea party, I would prepare a mualeux with a secret. This is a French recipe (moelleux is French for "tender"). And who better than the French can tell about love even without words?
  • So let's get started. We will prepare and weigh the necessary products:

  • If you do not have almond flour, you can take whole almond kernels, lightly fry and grind in any convenient way into small grains (you can not until flour, but larger, like semolina). I ground the roasted almonds in a chopper.

  • Melt the butter. Remove the zest from one tangerine and mix it with flour, baking powder, powdered sugar and almond crumbs. Whisk the eggs lightly.

  • First pour the eggs into the flour and almond mixture, stir everything well, then pour in the butter, and finally knead the dough. It will be as thick as pancakes.

  • Prepare mualeux molds. If necessary, lubricate them with vegetable oil. Cut two whole tangerines into beautiful circles according to the number of your molds. Place the mugs on the bottom of the molds and pour the dough 1/3 to 1/2 of their height.
  • Bake in an oven preheated to 160-170 degrees for 15-20 minutes (watch the readiness with a wooden skewer).

  • Remove from the oven and let cool for about 10 minutes so that the delicate mualeux comes well from the walls of the molds. Carefully remove them, turn them upside down with a tangerine bottom, and place them in a cake basket to cool completely.
  • You see, what a cute, but unremarkable cupcake that would be if we served it in the usual way?

  • But it's worth looking at it from the other side ...
  • Mandarin mualeux for Princess Irene
  • That's how it is in life. On the one hand, my imaginary guest is an elderly lady, mother and grandmother. And on the other - a real princess from a fairy tale.

Note

And, of course, I would love to host little Dutch princesses. But for them I would cook something funny and funny, or maybe we could cook it together.Girls, even if they are princesses, are still children, and they would definitely not refuse to smear themselves in chocolate, paint with edible paints and sprinkle bunnies from marzipan

Gaby
Irochka, what a wonderful recipe you have, fabulous, but quite real. For New Year's baking, it will be very useful to surprise the guests. And serve with the words: treat yourself to Mualeux tea with us today. I liked everything and the fairy tale about the princess and the still life and the presentation, ah. Talent.
L
Thank you very much! I got real pleasure from the recipe, from the design, from the history!
Ikra
Gabi, L , thank you for warm words. It's just that when I started reading about the princesses of the Netherlands, I immediately realized that Princess Irena is the most real of all real princesses. There is not much information about those events on the Internet, but even judging by these meager words from secular blogs, one can understand that serious passions were raging. And it was strange to us, who have been living for 100 years without a monarchy, that all events took place not in the Middle Ages, but in the second half of the twentieth century. And the main villain in the history of lovers was the media, which revealed their secret. In general, the story inspired me to search for the original recipe. Because you can't treat such a princess with cabbage soup. Here it was necessary to look for something romantic.

Ikra,
Irish, you are incomparable! I think Princess Irene would be very happy to meet you!
Ikra
Antonovka, well, I don't know))) Maybe she doesn't eat sweet

Ikra, thanks for the wonderful fairy tale, I read it ... such delicious handsome men, the photos are very cool ...
Albinka75
IkraHow I love cupcakes! : girl_love: Thank you for the romantic story and such an interesting baking option! I will definitely try to bake it, I just need to buy molds for cupcakes. I'm bookmarking!
Ikra
kristina1, Albinka75, it turns out, and now there are fairy princesses And try cupcakes. It's easy to do, but the result can surprise and please.

And yet, important! Still, if possible, do not substitute oranges for tangerines. Simply because peeled tangerines are much softer than oranges. It matters when you eat muffins: the tangerine slice bites off easily, and the orange one ... Well, in general, spoils the whole picture.

Ikra, to be honest, I always do everything according to the recipe, and even in my thoughts it was not possible to replace tangerines with oranges, this is a completely different taste, I experiment a lot with tangerines, oranges, as they grow in my garden, so in season I will do, I did something like that ...
gala10
Irina, thanks for the recipe and an interesting story! Good luck with the competition!
Ikra
kristina1, just in case, I warned in general. We just can't always have tangerines, after all, for Moscow it's a seasonal fruit. And oranges are all year round.
And I just like sometimes in recipes to misbehave about replacement.

gala10, Thank you! I really wanted to tell a story and support the competition. Some provoked me, I endured for a long time
Tumanchik
Irishenka, for some reason I immediately guessed that your recipe was! Very beautiful, and I have no doubt that it is delicious!

IkraI think Princess Irene would be very happy to meet you!
I think so too, even if she doesn't eat sweets
Ikra
GalaThank you for evaluating the recipe, and for doing it. Nice mualeux turned out, but the fact that they are not very level - this has its own charm. I really like your cupcakes!
julia_bb
Ikra, what lovely cupcakes, and an interesting story! I will definitely prepare and definitely read more about Princess Irene
Good luck in the competition
kristina1
Gala, Galina, cool turned out, the most important thing is that delicious well and figs that lopsided .. the main thing is the result.
Ikra
julia_bb, Thank you! It's really interesting to read about Princess Irene. Again, I did not expect such stories to take place in our time, when, it would seem, all conventions have been swept away completely. But no. And not every princess succeeds, having fallen in love with her prince, to become happy.
Zakharovna
I will remember Muale, but it's a shame for the cabbage soup (
Ikra
Zakharovna, after all, cabbage soup is a treat for our own people. When (dreamily, remembering the real winter) you ski with your girlfriends to a persistent blush and a healthy appetite and say: "Come to me, there is cabbage soup with honey agarics!" And you come running, damp, hungry, and wrap a cheek with a little blackie, burning yourself and blowing on a spoon in which a tiny mushroom sticks out like a little tin soldier.
And to the princesses it is necessary ... as to the princesses, neatly and politely, on a silver plate. And so as not to get burned.
