Mandarin Jam

Ingredients

tangerines 300 gr.
sugar 150 gr.
cinnamon (stick) 0.5 pcs.
carnation (inflorescence) 2 pcs.
vanillin on the tip of a knife
lemon juice (optional) 0.5 tsp

Cooking method

  • Peel the tangerines, disassemble them into slices and cut each into three parts. Put the chopped tangerines in a saucepan, cover with sugar, pour lemon juice if desired and bring to a boil over low heat, stir occasionally. After 10 minutes, add a cinnamon stick, cloves and vanillin, boil for another 10-15 minutes and .. that's it! you can eat after cooling down or pour it boiling into a sterilized jar and roll it up.
  • Mandarin Jam
  • Bon Appetit!

Note

Since I cook such jam only to eat it right away, I do not add lemon juice (without it, the jam is quickly candied). Without lemon juice, the taste of the jam is sweet, spicy, slightly bitter, a sheer pleasure to eat a spoonful of such jam with a pancake or even spread on a piece of bread with butter

I remembered my childhood ... In our store, jars of tangerine jam were sold. I could fill two glasses at once. I liked it very much! Mmmm !!! ... Sweet fragrant pulp with pieces of "skin" and a tart, slightly bitter aftertaste
V-tina
Irish, I somehow do not dare to cook with the peel, it seems to me that there is more chemistry there than where in fruits
