Ingredients

Salted herring 1 PC.
Bulb onions half onion
Sour apple half
Vinegar 9% 150 ml
Water 150 ml
Honey 1.5 tbsp. l.
Sour cream to serve
Spices - cloves, peppercorns, juniper berries, bay leaves

Cooking method

  • Cut the herring into fillets, soak in cold water for 4 hours.

  • Cooking marinade - 150 ml of 9% vinegar diluted with water - 150 ml, add 1-2 tbsp. spoons of honey - it depends on your taste, put peppercorns, cloves, juniper berries, bay leaves, heat over low heat until the honey is completely dissolved. Cool and fill the prepared herring.

  • Serve with sour cream.

Note

Juniper berries are sold in regular stores, where all the spices are, in bags.
