Cupcake "Rozhdestvensky" (long storage)

Christmas cupcake (long storage)

Ingredients

* Butter, softened 225 g
* Sugar 150 g
* Eggs 4 things.
* Flour (into dough, sift) 250 g
* Flour (for dried fruits) 50 g
* Baking powder 8 g
* Vanillin option
* Any dried fruits 600 BC
* Cognac (for soaking dried fruits) 150 ml. (Possibly more)

Cooking method

  • All ingredients should be at room temperature.
  • Wash dried fruits, cut into large pieces (I have dried apricots, prunes. I also added light and dark raisins) and pour cognac for two days.
  • Then filter the s / f from alcohol, dry them (or blot with a paper towel).
  • Beat butter with sugar. Separately, lightly, beat the eggs, gently add them to the oil mixture, mix.
  • Then add flour mixed with baking powder and vanilla, mix.
  • Add dried fruits mixed with flour. Stir the whole mixture very well and place in a suitable form. Preheat the oven thoroughly to 180 * C, reduce to 150 * C and bake the cake for about 1 hour.
  • Look in your oven, check the readiness with a wooden skewer. But the cake is important and not overdry.
  • Cool the finished cake, sprinkle with cognac (rum), wrap in edible paper, place in a tin box (can be wrapped in foil) and store until the desired hour in a cool place, it is advisable to sprinkle it with cognac every three days.
  • You can keep the cake for up to a month or more.

Note

These muffins are baked in early November. To this day, muffins have retained their appearance and wonderful aroma. I smeared the surface of the muffins several times with alcohol, which was left from soaking dried fruits. The incision will be revealed after the Nativity of Christ.

The owner of the recipe, from whose submission I baked this marvelous, baked cupcakes last year in December, and unpacked the last one only in May - this is really a miracle, Christmas - the cupcakes have been preserved in all their splendor.
The longer they stand, the richer in taste and aroma become.

An interesting recipe. And, it seems, not complicated at all. I'll have to try. Thank you, Natasha!
ANGELINA BLACKmore
Galina, to your health !!! Peki, please your loved ones with festive pastries.
Happy New Year and Merry Christmas !!!
Helen
We need to start baking a cake ...
ANGELINA BLACKmore
Elena, of course it's time))) Christmas is already on the doorstep ... almost.

Natasha, here I am this year for the first time baked such cupcakes, only a slightly different recipe and baking method, is here on the forum. 4 weeks already greasing with cognac, we will try for Christmas. A girl friend told me that she kept it for a year, lubricating it every week. We need to try your version too. You have half as many dried fruits, it will come out more budgetary.

There is quite a lot of s / f test for this amount. There would be nowhere else to cram.

Thank you very much Natasha for the cupcake recipes. I somehow tried such ovens, but something did not grow together. I will definitely take note of your recipe.
Kokoschka
ANGELINA BLACKmore, Natasha baked a Christmas cake according to a recipe from our forum there, about 3 hours, you need to bake it at 140 degrees. Now they are maturing, they are in the closet, I also periodically grease them.
You have 1 hour for 150 and I have a question whether it will have time to warm up during this time?

I definitely want to try baking.
Helen
MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!

Handsome men, Linen!!!
We have also turned out excellent today. Part gave it. And on Christmas I baked another batch (for the Old New Year) Do not believe what))) ...
In the fall, they collected mountain ash (it turned out to be very large, red and sweet). So, we collected it in order to insist on it with homemade alcohol. It turned out just awesome thing. Called "Rowan Beads" When the creation process was over, the question arose - what to do with the filtered berries? To begin with, I divided them into portions and threw them into the freezer. And then the idea came to pour them over again, but this time with dessert alcohol, which was left over from the preparation of those cupcakes. Then went on the knurled. Baked muffins. Well, the scent, I'll tell you ... I never thought that mountain ash can smell so strong and for a long time. As usual in our PRACTICEShHOM site, nothing went to waste ... And the wolves are fed and the sheep are safe we are in a festive mood, and there is something for tea

Thanks for the recipe!
Christmas cupcake (long storage)
I baked it last week, now, during the next "cognac bath", my husband begged for a piece - very tasty!
It was decided to go tomorrow for another portion of candied fruits and dried fruits! These cupcakes obviously won't make it to Christmas

It's predictable)))
Marine, I am very pleased that I liked the recipe and will be repeated. bake, eat with pleasure.

ANGELINA BLACKmore, NatashaThanks for the recipe: it was very close to the "Christmas tree" shape from Nordic Ware. It came up so well that the dough was enough for exactly two such 1l Christmas trees. The dough has risen flush with the edges of the mold. Sugar increased to the weight of butter - to the classic proportions of a pound cake. Gas oven. I put a container of water on the bottom. I baked for an hour and a half under foil. She baked without her. I will not say about the taste yet: let it lie down for now.

InnaThanks for using the recipe and for the photo report. It would also be interesting to know if the cake tasted right.

ANGELINA BLACKmore
Elena, wow handsome !!! As if Inna noticed - like a mountain of gems. Impressive.
I like recipes where you can freely, without prejudice to taste, frolic and experiment.
Thank you for such a colorful photo report.
Happy New Year!!!

Innul, soon)) I also savor. I smear, and I'm drooling all over)))
Helen
lady inna, ANGELINA BLACKmore, thanks, girls, I would not cut and eat too, ahead of time ... but homework ... still part lies ... I smear ... so much cognac has already gone ..

The cupcake is delicious, just divine! I can't imagine how you can store it and grease it with cognac! Here it is eaten in one evening, still lukewarm ... The next day, a few pieces remain at the most.

Incredible efforts of will ...
Thank you, Marin, for trying and appreciating.

Natasha, finally it's time to report on the taste. The first piece could not resist and tried somewhere in early January, that is, the cake lay for a little more than a week. Therefore, it is possible to compare with what it is now, a month after baking. And now I am really convinced that after a long aging it tastes better! And the crumb is denser, does not crumble, and the moisture is evenly redistributed throughout the cake, and the spices I added are organically felt in the taste. There is one more left, let it lie down a little more.
This was my first experience with shelf-stable muffins. Now I know that one should take the trouble to bake in November for gifts for Christmas or New Year.
Here is such a tree, "smart" inside:

ANGELINA BLACKmore
Inna, S-U-UP !!! Handsome !!!
I am very pleased that it did not happen to be disappointed in the pre-preserved cupcake.
And for gifts, yes, you can for a long time - baked and alone that the gifts are ready))) I, like that, baked in October)).
lady inna
Natasha, the cupcake survived safely until May, having overwintered in the cold corner of the room, and spent the spring on the insulated balcony. The paper looks as oiled - you can see it in the photo. I did not water it with cognac: a couple of times at the beginning of storage. It became tastier and nobler, something gingerbread appeared in it. Is it time to get ready for Christmas and bake muffins?
