The cabbage is delicious, I recommend it! In our Ukraine, it is called "pelustki" !!!!!
Lisichkalal
We need to try, the main thing is that you don't need to chop the cabbage finely, I don't like that (((
Beets just give color?
Venka
How long is it stored? And where? If it freezes on the balcony, will it be edible later, won't it turn into a soft mess?
DonnaRosa
Venka, She is quickly eaten.

I put it on a glazed loggia. I leave there until it ends. In the refrigerator, it will give off a persistent garlic smell. You don't need to do a lot, it is better to repeat a small portion. Moreover, cooking this cabbage is easy and quick.

Delicious!
Elena_Kamch
DonnaRosa, can you take raw beets? Reluctance to cook
Shyrshunchik
Elena_KamchElena, if there is a microwave, then the beets will be ready quickly.
Elena_Kamch
Shyrshunchik, Tanya, no ... Yes, and raw is healthier
Zhannptica
Elena, Elena_Kamch, this is the first time I see boiled beets in such a cabbage
Elena_Kamch
Jeanne, so it is worth trying to add raw and its taste is richer
Zhannptica
I am sure that the essence of the recipe will not suffer))

I also do it with boiled beets and also a little, so as not to ferment.
I often add, in addition to beets, chopped celery sticks, I really love its fresh smell.
I cut the cabbage into rhombuses, with pellets.

DonnaRosa, thanks for the delicious cabbage! I haven't done so for a long time, I somehow forgot the recipe against the background of the current variety, and after all, it was once very popular! Now I found in my old notebook a yellowed clipping from the newspaper "Nedelya" for October '88. Everything is similar, except that I always put the beets (according to that recipe) fresh, chopped very thin petals. After 3 days it was completely ready-made - marinated, crispy and very tasty! I fill it with a very hot marinade. Yes, I agree with Oksana, with celery (even dried) it is delicious, but without it, it's also great!
DonnaRosa,
brendabaker
grinaty,
Our beets are tough and have the smell of earth when raw.
Boiled is much sweeter and the smell is more pleasant
, well, the color of cabbage becomes saturated faster
DonnaRosa
Elena_Kamch, There are such recipes, but I put boiled one, it can be used as pickled, for whatever you want.

Yes, it happens, unfortunately. I'm not a gardener, but somehow I came to the conclusion that long cylindrical beets are sweeter and not so tough. If I see, I buy more. And with boiled beets - yes, the cabbage is more elegant, brighter

Admin,
Tatiana, raw pumpkin is our dog's and my favorite dish, but from raw beets I shake a glass of juice, mix it right in a plate with finely chopped sauerkraut (preferably with cranberries), season with oil and think that I eat raw food BORSCH

grinaty,
I also take cylindrical, or flattened and medium-sized. At one time, we sold ECO-small sweet beets (that's how I loved to make beetroot)

DonnaRosa,
Pickled Georgian cabbage
And I also set myself to pickle cabbage today, in a week I will take a sample
DonnaRosa
brendabakerWhy not cubes? I put it in whole, not disassembled pieces, I fit it tightly, and in the intervals I stuff what has fallen off slightly.
brendabaker
DonnaRosa,
At first I did just that, I divided the cabbage head, like an orange into slices, so that each one had a small piece of the cabbage and they did not fall apart, but then I thought, how long it is to wait a week until the whole segment is marinated and divided them into parts to start try early, like the day after tomorrow
DonnaRosa
Two weeks have passed, my Georgian cabbage is just right. Tasty: nyam: and beautiful.
brendabaker
DonnaRosa,
And I already ate mine, could not bear to wait 2 weeks.
You need to find not * plastic * cabbage and do it again, already in the correct segments.
In a tightly closed jar, it stands normally in the refrigerator, there is no smell of garlic if you open the door

brendabaker
DonnaRosa,
And it crunches how wonderful
The look is smart and the taste is not spicy, just as I like.
Only I sugar 2 tbsp. l. put it down, I like it more
