julia007, Julia, did not know that this dish was called that! Thank you!!!
We call him potato casserole. But I never added nutmeg. Need to try!
P.S. This is a delicious and satisfying dish! And if you pour it with béchamel sauce while serving it - mmm, nyama!
julia007
Lera-7, Svetlana, You are welcome! I'm just sure I'll like it!

toffee, Irina, You are welcome! Nutmeg goes very well with mashed potatoes, I knew this for a long time since Jamie Oliver does this in his recipes all the time. But I tried it myself only recently and now, when I make mashed potatoes, I add a little bit of nutmeg, I really like it.

Shepherd's pie is made with lamb
Poacher's pie - with mushrooms and meat of a hare, or rabbit,
Pork and beef cottage pie
We also make seafood pie with salmon stewed in milk
It is not necessary to plant the mashed potatoes with a nozzle with cloves, it is enough to lay it out evenly and draw patterns with a fork. And on top put pieces of butter. An excellent hearty autumn dish.
Nutmeg goes well with mashed potatoes and champignons.
There are never many such recipes, thanks to the author for another great option.
celfh
Is the pie delicious on the second day?

L-olga, Olga, You are welcome!

brendabaker, OksanaIt is really not necessary to plant the patterns, but it looks better this way, especially if baked in an oval shape.

celfh, TatyanaI don’t know about the second day, it’s the only way for us on the first!

julia007, Julia, thanks for the recipe - I will definitely cook it on the weekend! I'm also interested in about the second day - this cake will not really lose its taste if you reheat it on the second day in a micron, what do you think? I'm planning to go to his dacha so that I don't have to mess around there, while there are no conditions for "massive" cooking!
Well done! A whole layer opened up ideas and similar pies. I only did a shepherd.

Girls writing Paul McCartney Pie... Once upon a time on television there was a program of Alla Budnitskaya (I don't remember the name), so she gave this recipe there.
Fry 300-400 g of a mixture of meat (optionally beef, pork, chicken, turkey) in a pan in small pieces. Remove the meat, fry 6-7 large onions in this fat.
We do two tests.
1.1.5 stack. flour, 1 egg, 100g margarine, 1 tsp. baking powder, 2 tbsp. l. water - knead the dough in the cold.
2.200g mayonnaise, 2 eggs, 1 tsp. baking powder, salt, pepper, flour - the dough is like for pancakes.
Put dough 1 in a mold, make sides. Pour in the meat, cover with onions, pour over the dough 2. Put in the oven 200 degrees. for 1 hour.

Maidens, I'm sorry, generously ... I'm sorry 1000 times ... BUT I don't think Paul Macartney would have put so much margarine and mayonnaise into the Pie! And both of these components at once! Have pity on yourself and your children! WHERE are you rushing (sorry for my French))) this mayonnaise and margarine are everywhere!

julia007, Julia, thank you for the recipe! I will definitely try it!

Rita, Americans still eat tons of this margarine, but butter is not very popular there. All their baked goods are on margarine. They do not pour mayonnaise, they pour the dishes !!! When my Canadian friend came to live there, she almost fainted, seeing this !!! Now she is used to it and she cooks herself with margarine, she says that it is very tasty there and is not at all the same as it was here.
I was asked to post, I wrote. And who does not want to eat this, he will pass the recipe.

Margarita, Sir Paul had no idea that there were so many IADU in his favorite pie)))

my mother brought me up so that margarine and mayonnaise are poison))) but because she had no shortage of sour cream and butter)))

Linda baked him, he ate with pleasure))) I don't think she kept him company, and, nevertheless, Sir Paul has already outlived it for almost 20 years.
nothing depends on anything, otherwise honest and kind would be healthy and rich (c)

Pour in the broth, salt, pepper and stir.

Yulenka, that is, they poured the broth, salt, pepper and turn off / remove from the heat, right?

We do not evaporate the broth, should the minced meat remain juicy?
julia007
Crochet, You do not need to evaporate, just prepare a couple more minutes and that's it.
