Pumpkin-apple salad

Ingredients

Pumpkin 250-300 g.
Apple 1 PC. average
Honey 0.5 - 1 tsp
Vegetable oil 2-3 tsp

Cooking method

  • Peel the pumpkin, peel the apple of seeds and "middle".
  • Grate the pumpkin and apple on a coarse grater. Add honey.
  • If the honey is liquid, immediately stir the salad, then add the vegetable oil and mix everything again.
  • If the honey has already thickened, then do not stir the salad itself, but put the honey in the sector of the container where the grated apple lies, mash it with a spoon with the apple and leave for 5-10 minutes. We do this so that under the influence of malic acid, the honey liquefies a little. Stir it with the apple again until there are no lumps of honey.
  • Stir all ingredients, add vegetable oil and stir again. Salad ready.
  • In the photo I have a bowl with a volume of approximately 600 ml. "To the brim", there are pumpkins about 300 gr. and two small apples.
  • I also make the same carrot and apple salad. You can make pumpkin-carrot-apple.
  • It is also very tasty if you add raisins to this salad. But I rarely do this, because, firstly, I already have raisins where to attach it, and, secondly, I am very tasty without it.

Note 2: Weight and measure for all ingredients listed in recipe are very approximate and may vary solely by taste of cooker and eater. All proportions of the components of the salad can be changed in the direction of decreasing and increasing ad infinitum. The main thing is that it suits you! If you like sour, take a little more apple or less honey, if sweeter - less apples and more honey. Vegetable oil can be any, better unrefined for health reasons. I prefer olive, but with unrefined sunflower and linseed, I didn't like it at all. The amount of oil can also be varied, if you like a little fatter, you can add a tablespoon.
In general, as you can see, all proportions are exclusively for your taste. I have described here only the principle and the idea.

Note 3: If there is no honey or you are allergic to it, you can replace honey with sugar.

Made in the "minimum configuration" - pumpkin, apple, butter. The pumpkin was sweet, therefore, after removing the sample, I did not add honey.
